Yes the instructions state that, but no I did not extend the end links when I did my shocks. I’m guessing this is a carry over warning from their lift springs? I’m not entirely sure how shocks would need these extended to avoid binding or damage to the suspension.

Going back to the first question: I have not run Eibach springs on the Gladiator, but I did on my Xterra for over a decade. Up front I had Eibach coils wrapped around RadFlo shocks (the rear was Alcan leaf springs).

Absolutely no complaints, those springs rode great. I never had any issues with cracks, no matter how hard I abused them. In time the paint started to flake off and the springs started to get some surface rust, but that's expected after 10+ years of rock chips and salt exposure.

I am no longer using the Eibachs but only because I am now lifted and got a great deal on new Falcons. When I installed the Pro Truck shocks I did not have to use extended length end links because I wasn't lifted. As long as you don't go over 2" you will be fine

I know they’re not in the same ballpark, but out of curiosity what’s your thoughts on the Falcons vs the Eibach shocks?
I ended up getting the Falcon 3.1 reservoir shocks from Clayton when they were being phased out for the Gladiator by TeraFlex. Mine are adjustable but only have two settings, soft and performance mode. The Falcon 3.3 shocks also have those two settings plus Fast Adjust knobs that allow you to tweak the settings without removing the shocks. Mine are set to soft which is what Clayton recommended when I bought them. They are a noticeable improvement to me over the Eibachs both on and offroad. How much of an improvement is subjective so let me put it this way. Driving slowly down a wash boarded road or over railroad tracks you really felt the bumps with the Eibachs but when you hit them moving faster, they were much more subtle. With the Falcons, speed does not make nearly as big a difference. They dampen the impact very well at any speed. When I bought the Pro Truck shocks, they were $440 for all 4. Clayton sold me the Falcons for $1,206 and to me they are worth the difference. TeraFlex also sells an upgrade kit that adds the fast adjust controls to the 3.1s which turns them into the 3.3s. My plan when purchased was to run them as is and add the upgrade kit later if needed. I have now had them on for almost 2 months and I haven’t found a need for further adjustment.

Considering the Falcons are usually almost 5 times the cost of the Eibachs I had hoped there would be a noticeable difference, so I'm not surprised. Good for you on getting them for a deal.

Do you still have that stabilizer bolt? I could use one now. I put on the 4 shocks this weekend and still need to get the stabilizer on.

They'll fit, not sure why its listed that way. Only possible issue with the shocks would be for the Mojave. Otherwise youre good with the 0-2" options.

If you're just replacing for maintenance reasons or blown OE shocks, then the replacements would be the only thing you need.

For some reason it looks like their site only lists the application as Rubicons.

Eibach bases all their fitment off the Rubicon model. Like mentioned, it will fit your Sport also, just a quirk of their system.

I had the 2-4" on my 22 sport s at one time. They are said to be like the 5100s but a little softer so that was what I was looking for at the time .

I wonder if it's the ride height that's the issue? I think the Sport sits about 1" lower than the Rubicon which will put the shock at 1" deeper into it's travel at ride height.

I ran Eibach springs and off the shelf non-adjustable King 2.5" shocks on a 2021 JLUR I had, and thought it was the best suspension of any vehicle I had ever owned. That was until I finished my current 2022 JLUR 392 that has a Metalcloak 4.5" lift with Accutune custom valved adjustable King 2.5" shocks. The 2022 is better.

I think the King shocks had a major influence on this. But Eibach is known for making excellent springs, among the best in the business. You could certainly do worse than Eibach springs. I have no experience with their shocks.

I've done several searches, however haven't come up with much other than a few members stating in posts they have Eibach springs as part of a response, but not much beyond that. I've reached the point where it feels like the Rubicon takeoff springs and shocks I have aren't really what I want and I've never been really thrilled with the ride since I put them on. In truth I'm wondering if just a different shock might be the best solution to try first.

I've dived pretty deep into the shock rabbit hole and what I've pulled out is;
  1. I really don't need to spend $1k plus on shocks. As much as I may want to, I would rather spend that money elsewhere for my setup.
  2. I hit actual trails or rocks maybe once or twice a year at most. On road/highway driving matters the most to me, but would still like a shock that can handle rough roads or when I occasionally take the caliche roads or the rare trail.
  3. I'm concerned Bilstein 5100s are going to be too firm and Fox 2.0s are going to be too soft. The Eibach Pro-Truck shocks seem to be the goldilocks in between from the reviews I've found online and other recommendations.
  4. I've received some really great feedback from friends who run 4Runners and Tacomas and have Eibach setups. Bilsteins are still very popular in that group and they have said Eibach has a lot of the same qualities, but they consider them to overall ride better.
I'm sure there is more I could elaborate on, but I think I've really narrowed down my next shocks will probably be either Bilstein or Eibach. I'm hoping that they pair well with the Rubi springs, as I'm happy with my ride height. I may look at the Eibach 2" springs too especially if I go with their shocks and they are well received by other JT owners. The problem I have found is there just isn't much about Eibach and Jeeps to research. So any feedback from JT owners that have any experience would be greatly appreciated.
So I have a 23 rubicon extreme edition every thing I wanted except for the shocks came with the factory red shocks.That being said the 5100 they are a very good shock (also changed out front stabilizer shock).So my new project is a 23 gladiator rubicon also had to change out the mopar shocks this time went with fox set up including front stabilizer.I have have installed 35” bf godies with 1 1/2 “ wheel spacers love the look but wanted to change the rake looked at the mopar lift but you still had to use a puck to level the rake. I decided to go with the Eibach 2” springs while using the mopar 2” factory sway bar arms.Disclaimer I don’t beat the shit out of my trucks
