I have the Arcus. I like it because it's relatively light. The winch plate and hooks are very solid but the visible bumper piece is pretty light. The overrider doesn't do much for you and would have been much more useful with some tabs for lights welded on. If you are looking for something to push things out of the way with, not the right bumper. If you are trying to keep weight down as you add a winch- great choice. I'm not saying it's flimsy btw- the winch plate is sturdy and backs right up to the back of the bumper piece and the hooks are massive.

ARCUS. It was an easy install formed to the Jeep perfectly. Winch sits nicely tucked in and low. I also liked the fact that the OEM skid plate can be re-used. Most others you have to buy theirs. Also you re-use the factory fog lights.

I second other posters thoughts on the Arcus. Very light weight, but super sold winch plate and hooks. Plus no need to change skid plate.

The powder coat on the Arcus isn’t the thickest (not a big deal in the desert), but for the price, being a light stamped bumper with the a recessed winch mount that looks OEM, I can’t complain too much.

YMMV with the powder coat holding up depending on the amount of salt on the road in your parts.

I’ve had both, Arcus w/Overridder on my JTR and HD Stubby w/Striker on my JTRD.

I liked both.
Weight is close to the same, Extreme Terrain claims
Arcus 75lb
HD 65lb
Amazon claims
Arcus w/overrider 85lb
HD 45lb X-Strker 14lb
The winch mount is a little lower on the Arcus
Installation was much easier on the Arcus, both use factory fog lights.
I was able to use the rubicon skid plate with both, giving me a place to attach my license plate.

Anybody measure from the grill to the end of the "tusk" hooks to see how far this sticks out? I have a factory bumper on my 23 Mojave and want to upgrade but worried if this sticks out further it wont fit in the garage due to space requirements.

I have the RR HD Stubby. Love it for all the reasons already mentioned but will add, mine rusted within two years. I live in PA so not the friendliest weather for steel parts. RR was great about the warranty replacement. I'm replacing my winch in a few weeks and plan to take the bumper off and do the POR15 process and then paint it before putting it all back together.

Measures 12" exactly from the bottom of the grill to the peak of the horn "Tusks"

I have the RR Venator stubby and like it, not one of the two you have listed and more money. But one thing I do like about it, is that the winch is covered and protected like in the Arcus, is exposed in the HD. I was actually going to buy the Arcus, but my buddy sold me his Venator. The Venator overrider does have mounting tabs for lights.

I have the Venator, and the powder coating on the lighter grey colored skid plate started rusting through after about 2 years. I e-mailed Rugged Ridge, and they sent me a replacement plate. It was a pretty easy process - so they do stand behind their warranty and have pretty good customer service.

Other than that, I've been very happy with mine.

I found the hooks to be an issue on approach angles and they are sharp enough to damage a soft shackle, necessitating a dring which to me makes having a hook at all completely pointless
