Auto start message will not disappear.

I get this message no matter what I try.
I havea genesis dual battery for a few years no issues. No aux since it took a dump years ago.
Now I can't get it to go away. I've tried pulling the fuse and disconnect and taping up the aux neg. ( It was attached with no problems) And the pos is taped .I have removed and taped the neg terminal to nada.
I've got a tazer and auto start / stop it has been defaulted to off when I start it. I even disconnected the hood plunger with no luck.

I'm dumbfounded. I ordered the new Genesis get 3 top to replace my gen 1. I can justify the upgrade to the gen 3.
Could this the the start to electronic gremlins?
What else can I pull out besides my hair?

I don’t know too much about the Genesis system, but I imagine 1 or both of those batteries look like the aux to truck’s computer. If the age/voltage of the genesis batteries is getting to a point where they can’t maintain >12.4v, the truck could be interpreting that as “voltage is too low during aux check, throw the error”? I understand you have the 2 genesis batteries, but the truck doesn’t know that. How healthy/what is the voltage of the genesis batteries?

I've put my reader on it and it shows no codes. I have a Tazer with auto start disable. I've ordered a new GEN 3 head with the optional engine on sensor . Hopefully it will show up this week to see if that helps.

I have had the hood pin go bad. When I replaced it with a new one the light went away. If you disconnect it the light will come on.

I would do two things. First would be an IBS reset after fully charging your batteries. The next thing I would do is test your Fuse array and the connections of your Genesis system. Verify the mode your systems is in. Read the Genesis instructions.

Driving with that message and the avengers light is a pending breakdown.

^^ Me too, and I got the exact same message on the dash as the OP.

Check the hood switch that is in the stop/start system. One is for hood ajar and one is for stop/start. They are the same part number switch.

Switch resistance should be 500 ohms with hood open and 1000 ohms with hood closed. My bad stop/start switch measured 900/1400 and had become contaminated by water. I swapped it with the hood ajar switch and the stop/start light immediately turned off. I then ordered a replacement switch.

Have you thought about looking for codes? Not all codes will trigger a cel. If it is a bad hood switch, you may see a code within the bcm.

Looking for codes may point you in the right direction. We can all toss out guesses.

If you want that message to go away, you need to find what needs fixing and fix it. Removing more things isn't going to solve it.

The hood plunger for instance will trigger an error condition, so disconnecting it was a strange idea. You want it to be connected and fully functional. The goal should be to make the system as functional as possible so the system can't tell the difference, not remove as many elements from it as you can.
