That is a really great rack for $1000. I've been wanting the Yakima Overhaul since it's height adjustable. This looks better and costs less. I have the soft top and want to carry a 12' kayak and a bike. Installing the Bak x4s Revolver today.

I haven't decided whether to go with this one yet, but from what I've researched the legs are made up of two parts with an upper tube sliding in/out of the lower tube. The website claims 15 inches of adjustability in the upper part. The height adjustment is in the boxed area:

Just estimating from the picture the crossbar would be below the top of the back window by a couple inches when in the lowest position. Would that be enough for your setup?

Total height of upper crossbar including its bracket?

Total height from tonneau to top of lower tower leg?

what is the functionality of the foam pieces on the underside? just to keep it from touching itself?

I think they are supposed to stop it from hitting the rear window, I have a soft top so never worried about it.

That's what I saw in a BAK install video for this. If you roll it up loosely then it has the potential to bang against the hard top window so they provide foam pieces for that. To be honest though, I had to be real intentional about haphazardly rolling it up to get it to the point where it tapped the window while being strapped down. Personally, I can't see it ever occurring the way I normally roll it up.

I'm using the Xtrusion-Overland rack with my Revolver X4s. They have brackets specific to the X4s and it allows you to run an 8" longer rack than their standard Gladiator rack. I did lose maybe an inch of roll at the end, but I need to adjust my tonneau to get it centered better too.

@Fcmalie this is exactly the setup I'm looking to switch to...just one question I can't find the answer to...what is the inside bed clearance between the X4S rails? I tend to haul plywood from time to time and want to make sure I have at least 48" between the rails so that I can slide plywood into the bed with the tailgate up.

Also, what height Xtrusion rack did you go with?
