That looks awesome. My RTT is the Ranger made by Tuff Stuff overland. I've had it for about 3 years and love it. I have their whole kit with awning and annex.I donāt have a RTT (yet). It was my number 1 priority after installing my Rebel Offroad Half Rack until I won a winch at an overland festival so my priority shifted to a new bumper (also I donāt camp in summer cause I canāt stand the heat so Iāve got time.
Pictured below is my half rack set up (work in progress). What kind of RTT do you have?

I just looked up this tent. This would be perfect for the half rack I have as it wouldnāt eclipse the height of the cab so you keep things nice and symmetrical and donāt offset the center of gravity. That looks awesome. Thanks for the info, your truck is awesome ?If a rack is going to be the route you take, go half/mid height rack. I started out with a full rack about three years ago. I went to a half rack about a year and a half after. Night and day. I didn't even know the full rack had that much wind resistance until I went to the half rack and it almost disappeared. It was much better.
I have a trailer now. But, if I went back to a rack, it would definitely be a half rack.

Thank you! Remember, the end goal is to go camping, not overlanding. You don't have to spend your life's savings to do it. Do research and find the basics of what you need and go out and enjoy life and the outdoors. Thanks for the info, your truck is awesome ?
I actually like that. I built both of my racks when I had them. Built a full size and then built a mid/half rack. Mine was more like yours. It leaves a lot of space open on the sides and rear to access stuff in the bed. And yours looks pretty decent as well.I went the cheapest route I could go for now and bought a Harbor freight aluminum rack that I cut down and re-tapped to be a half rack.![]()
