What's the largest and or best main battery I can get / fit in the Gladiator? Going to delete the aux in the process. I hear you can remove a block off plate to fit a bigger one.
I can't comment on the "Biggest" battery you can go with but from personal experience I can tell you that if you stuff the absolute biggest Odyssey battery in there you won't regret it. I had a 34R in my Frontier and it was hands down the best mod I ever did to that truck. They are worth every penny.....

Check out Morris 4x4, I got mine on sale a couple years back.

Just thought I'd throw out another option.
For reference, the original MOPAR battery was rated at 75Ah, 700CCA, and Reserve Capacity of 120 Minutes.
Replaced my original main battery with a Crown CRV94R.
Jeep Gladiator Best / Largest main battery? KIMG0647

The Crown is rated at 80Ah, 800CCA, and Reserve Capacity of 160 Minutes
With the added bonus that it is 100% made at Crown's main manufacturing plant in Fremont, Ohio.

Just as an added note for what it's worth.
Replaced the Auxiliary battery at the same time with a Super Start Platinum AUX14 from O'Reilly Auto Parts.
I know there has been discussion on the battery threads about using the NAPA AUX14 battery.
I found that the NAPA AUX14 only has a 30 day warranty which I think is pretty lousy for a $130 battery.
The Super Start from O'Reilly is made by the same manufacturer as the NAPA battery, and has a 1 year warranty for $119.

From a conversation with a friend who went down the battery rabbit hole:

***
There are only three manufacturers making batteries in the US. East Penn (Deka, Napa), Clarios (Die Hard, Interstate), and Enersys (Exide).

Clarios is the biggest and has the most variability in quality. From really good to really awful. Enersys is considered the worst and East Penn the best. You want to avoid any battery sold through Walmart, Sam’s, Costco as these are typically made to a price point and even the East Penn Walmart batteries will be of a much lower quality than their typical battery. If they ever offer multiple tiers of a battery, never get that bottom tier. Most sources debate if there is any difference between mid and top tier, aside from the warranty.

You can either google “who makes XX battery” or if it’s an East Penn battery it will have EP in model number.

Optima is made by Clarios. Here’s the thing there isn’t an easy way to tell them apart [due to the branding spanning all three manufacturers]. So even a Napa or Die Hard. You might get a Clarios or it might be an Exide. You could spend $200 or $60 for basically the exact same mediocre battery.

Batteries Plus is one of the only places that carries Duracell car batteries, which seem to be on the better end of the spectrum - I'm planning on trying those when my batteries need replacing (which will probably be this year since I have a 2021).

These threads are fun to read. The old wives tales come out so fast. In my experience, my Gladiator works on one battery exactly like it works on 2. The difference is I have gotton rid of a couple of the possible trouble points and now I can look at the dash vooltmeter and the info is menaingful. I haven't had any warning lights or codes.

All the battery recommendation are interesting too. There are just a few things that you can find to make a judgement on battery quality - Warranty, Cold Cranking Amps (CCA), Amp Hours (AH). Amp hours is not worth much because most of the H7 AGM batteries are tested too 80AH.

I am running a Walmart Everstart H7 - 4 years of warranty (good at Walmarts everywhere) and 850 CCA. The single Walmart battery is virtually the equal of the 2 Mopar batteries.

That's quite ironic.
I have both delivered battery cases to, and picked up semi trailer loads of finished product from Crown Battery's manufacturing plant in Fremont, OH for outbound delivery.
Have also purchased car batteries from their sales counter located next to their loading docks at the plant itself.
I have been in the plant & seen the production line, which am sure your all knowing friend has not.

I've bought a lot of batteries in my life - from all kinds of sources and stores - and I'm sitting wondering why I've never heard of this one.

If you are concerned about warranty coverage, then you should replace the Aux battery. It's something that needs done about every three years. Since you always turn ESS off, you can just remove the Aux battery and tape up the connectors, pull the fuse so it tests the Main battery, and let the next owner worry about it.

EDIT: DON'T buy the Odyssey AUX 14. Bastard isn't compatible without multiple mods.

Bought a pair of Odyssey today. I will be the first to tell you if they suck. I was happy to see Odyssey now produces a 'performance' motorcycle battery in our form factor for the Aux.

I don't believe the ESS system is the problem, it's the trash OEM batteries. We will see. I'm not going to delete the Aux battery even though I am completely capable of doing so. I installed the OEM trailcam...I can pull a fuse and tape off a cable. ;)

Yep. I replaced my clutch with an ACT in my 2022 JTR (purchased 7/22), and the ESS battery was at 3.7 V. I had battery issues on my 2018 Tacoma too. They just get deals on batteries and go with that.

Does anyone know of this battery would work in my gladiator? I am hoping to replace my OEM battery and replace it with a better one because I am using my winch very often.

The largest that will fit without modification is the H7/94R. The photo you posted is a 31M.
