Nice looking rig, wow. Good name for it.:muscle:

This is my son Odin. Brought him home from the hospital in 1999, he's a keeper. Lol. The 86 CJ-7 behind him, wish I still had that Jeep. :(

Great looking rig. I used them back in 2009 when they were Jeff's Jeep Yard. You have to take the rig all the way to FL to get it worked on?
The install is going to happen @zeusoffroad in Burnsville MN. They have done Hemi installs for a long time but this will be their first Bruiser install. They are excited to do the project and if everything goes well they will likely add Bruiser installs to their services. Install should start around June 10th.

YEEEESS! I posted in the engine swap forum about the LSX swap as I would be very interested in this as well. Following your build and anxious to hear how it turns out!

Cheers,

I had Jeff do some work for me back on 2010 on a CJ7 I had then. Does he still own it? I had mixed feelings.
Yes Jeff still owns it. I have been dealing with him and Zeus of Road to get things going. So far everything has been great.

How are you getting that much torque out of an LS3?? It's more than an LT1 which stock for stock normally has much more torque than a LS3 with variable cam timing. It's no big deal for an LS3 to make that kind of power, but it usually makes it by turning faster. Not by putting up big torque numbers.

As for the GM choice. It's a great choice. IMHO, the GM engines are far superior to the Hemi. The only down side is that you need a proprietary "bridge" to get the GM TCM and PCM to talk to the rest of the vehicle. (are you doing a GM 10 speed?).

I thought the hack was to use the Jeep ECM, program it for the LS swap, and obviously a custom engine harness to suit? I'm surely interested as I "Think" those of us in CA can get a CARB approved LS swap, but not a Hemi at this time?

Hello everyone. I know this is my first post but I have gathered a lot if information from other on this forum so I thought I would try and give some back. In early June a Brusier LX3 6.6L motor will be going in to Odin ( @OdinsChronicles ). The motor specs out 550hp and 625 ft/tq. My plan is to document and review the process for anyone who wants to follow along. Odin currently runs a Supercharger on the 3.6L. It has done a good but just doesn't have the power needed to push the weight of a fully loaded over-lander rig and trailer. With 47 gallons of fuel on board, all my gear and the X1N trailer things weigh in at 11,500 pounds. I know that's a lot of weight but with one ton axels and other suspensions mods it is built to handle it. I choose Bruiser because I've been a GM motor fan for a long time. I've been assured they have worked out the bugs and it is a plug and play install. All gauges, cruise control, and tap shift will continue to work as they currently do. Below is what is included with the install kit. I will get into more details I we get closer to the install.
  • 6.6L LX3 Engine
  • 8HP75 8-Speed Transmission w/Torque Converter
  • Bellhousing, Torque Converter and Transfer Case Adapters
  • Cast Iron LX3 Manifolds
  • Exhaust Y Pipe with Cats
  • Bolt In Engine Mounts
  • LX3 Engine Harness for JT
  • GPEC (Flashed)
  • JT Tazer
