Thanks!

Regular Sport S probably has a 439 coil on the rear, Rubicon has a 451. Rubicon is taller and firmer as well. You can certainly use them on your truck. You'll probably get around 1.5" of lift or so, and it'll ride a little firmer.

Just in case anyone wants to do some math and report back what they know about the spring they have, we can collect the data into a chart and have hard data.

http://www.bluecoilspring.com/rate.htm

The numbers @WXman is referencing represent the number of pounds needed for each inch of spring compression which continues until all the coils are touching and the doing is said to be “solid” and there is no more spring to spring, you’ll know if it happens because the ride get ugly fast.

so this is something that is definitely 'do able' .... ? like it wont hurt/affect the jeep at all?

Very doable, no won't hurt it, only affects are what WXman mentioned .... little bit higher - little bit stiffer

i wont be going offroad anytime soon. i just wnat to upgrade small areas that i can. i see lots of guys getting rid of rubicon coils springs which im not sure of or why. but i feel they are prob much better than my stock sport S coils. as long as it wont hurt it. i dont want to do a suspension lift. if anything coil spring spacer lift. or just better springs like the rubi's

So you think you’ll gain in height with just swapping the coil springs (front and rear)? Would that be possible without the fox shocks or any of the other rubicon equipment? From what I’ve read, the springs are same height just more firm which equates to less sag- hence the higher stance.

You will need the shocks as well or a shock extender which I would not recommend. You should be able to get the springs and Fox shocks off of somebody upgrading to the mopar lift.

The lift height would be an incidental gain in this situation. The shock lengths would need to be looked at as while no shock is installed to be either fully extended or fully compressed at the limits of travel ( bump stops ) how much free play there actually is is important. You know they aren’t long enough when you hear an awful thud/clunk on extension and or compression.
