My driver's door started clicking back in 2022, when my JTM was a year old.

That was soon followed by the passenger's front door, although not as bad as the driver's door. I unhooked the door check to 'fix' the driver's door but never did anything for the passenger's front door. It would noticeably click every time the door was opened or closed.

About 2 months ago, on a whim, I applied some Boeshield to the door seam just outboard of the door seal on my clicking front passenger door. After applying the Boeshield, I opened & closed the door about 6-8 times and the noise just stopped. The clicking noise has been gone ever since. I can't believe it worked.

For those with the door clicking, you may want to try this remedy.

Here is the seam where I applied the Boeshield:
(This is the pass. side front door)
One pic shows the pencil pointing at the seam, and the other shows the pencil point inserted into the seam.

I tried spraying this seam with some PB Blaster Dry Lube and that seems to have worked for the moment. I will update how long it lasts.

That's good. It means that the creak must be some type of relative movement at that seam.

I wonder how the dry lube will hold up long term. The Boeshield that I used is a liquid that penetrates, then 'sets up' to a wax, so once it's there, it stays there. Like I said, I'm going on 2 months on my pass side door, and it gets used quite a bit (maybe even more than the driver's door).

Yeah it was all I had and thought I would give it a try. I live in one of the driest climates on earth so I should know pretty quick.

You better get a sacrifice to the Jeep gods soon...
Mine has come in the form of failing rear axles seals.....even after being replaced under warranty

I’ve got all 4 doors making that noise. Also had the door checks replaced twice. Instead of applying some kind of spray lube, I might try something like JB Weld or some kind of epoxy in that seam to stop it from flexing/creaking.

I think someone on the JL forum did that.

Unfortunately this is a "Jeep thing" like leaking rear glass. They don't, and won't ever, care. You have to "fix it yourself" using one of the methods mentioned.

The leaking rear glass has been a known issue for over 4 years and brand new 2025s can be found on the lot with cracked plastic on the interior frame - already failing.

UPDATE: another 2+ months have passed and my door treated with Boeshield is still silent. I'm declaring this creaking door issue fixed.

I tried this today and it doesn’t seem to be working. It’s the rear passenger. There doesn’t seem to be an opening along the seam so all the BS is just running down the door.
