All four of my original shocks were leaking and pretty beat up when I got my lift. I’d had the Gladiator maybe 10 months at that point.

Fast forward another 11 months and I’m looking at two front shocks that look like this.

Needless to say I’m done with Fox. Neither my original shocks or these have been wheeled hard at all. I’ve been fairly happy with the ride on the RubiconExpress 2.5” lift but I’m ready to change to something bullet proof as far as shocks go.

What can I buy that will straight replace these? Im assuming I just unbolt these and bolt on new ones?

This seems more than just really bad luck. From what you are saying is that you blew through 6 shocks now in a very short amount of time since you have had your Jeep. Are you sure you are getting the correct sized shock for your setup? To have 6 leaking shocks for one person is a lot.

From the look of the damper bushing. The shocks had bottomed out. Maybe wrong shocks with the body of the shocks being too long?

I don’t know what you guys do to your Jeeps. It’s almost like you are driving off road or something.

No idea, they’re what came with the kit. I really haven’t done anything hard with them. Aside from being on Houston roads for 3 weeks in August lol

Don't quote me on this but Fox shocks need to be rebuilt before 50k for an on-road rig, and earlier the more wheeling you do. Are those Fox 2.0s? Not the stock Rubi shocks right, because those are "fake" so to speak.

Same thing happened to mine within a year, but I did buy them lightly used.

Accutune sells King and Fox. 2.5s with remote res about $3K for 4. I think the Fox ride smoother. Or Just get some MC oil filled Rockshocks and don't worry about them.

The answer to your question is…BILSTEIN

They have a lifetime warranty.
That's what I went with when the 2.0's did the above. I went with the 5160's (remote resi/non-adjustable) front and rear. Love them so far, and no leaks. I think I got them for around $800 for a set of 4.

I recently switched from fox to Bilstein's ... I much prefer the Bilstein's now that I have some miles on them. IMO the Fox's are valved too soft ...

Whenever my Falcon 2.1 shocks decide to shit themselves, I am going either Bilstein or Eibach.

I wish Old Man Emu would step up and start making some shocks for us. Every time I used them on my TJ's and JK, they never presented a problem.

They seemed to get the valving right.

I have had the Bil's 5100 on a couple vehicles and never really cared for the ride. Always seemed a bit stiff but the 5100s are nothing special . For the Money I have come to like Eibach much more than Bilstein 5100. If you go with Bils go with a better model than a 5100
