Did you buy a Jeep that is a truck or a truck that is a Jeep?

My first priority was a truck that could pull my car hauler with my 1949 Willys Jeep CJ3a, I was replacing a Ford F150 that was too big for 99% of what I need to do. A mid-size truck was perfect. And a JEEP truck pulling a classic Willys Jeep was more perfecter... or whatever.

For me, it’s a Jeep that is also a truck. Always wanted a Jeep, but couldn’t justify 2 vehicles for me. I need the utility of a truck given the nature of my hobbies ( bird hunting w/ my Brittany; competitive shooting; kayaking, and the Murillo moves I’ve helped my daughter do- so many it must be a hobby, but that’s another story)

Anyway, I love the utility the Gladiator brings to the Jeep line.
Now I’m part of the kool kid club

Bought a Jeep that is a truck. I've been driving Wranglers for years, and when the JT came out I was excited but not sure if I would get one.

We hit the trails a minimum of once a month for many years. My wife talked me into the JT and I'm super happy. We've had it since July of 2020 and we go wheeling all the time. But now camping and hauling gear is so much easier.

I wanted a Wrangler but needed to fit 5 people plus all our camp gear. Gladiator showed up. It was meant to be. Trailer was never an option. Vehicle had to do it all.

I love my Mojave but at the end of the day if I wanted a real truck I would have bought a super duty, but it wouldn't be as cool in a million years!

I consider it a “Jeep that is a truck”, in that it is more lacking in the truck department than it is lacking in the Jeep department. Don’t get me wrong, I totally love it, but I’m moving over from full size trucks, so this is a fairly big change. I’m at the stage of life where the objective is more fun, less work ??.

Just saw this poll, easily a Jeep that is a truck for me. I’ve never had either, but my expectations with getting a Jeep were “easily modifiable/accessible”, which has been nothing short of true, and it has the benefit of being a “pickup truck” with a bed.

Prior to buying my Gladiator I had a Wrangler AND a Taco. I sold both to buy the Gladiator. While I utilize the truck features of the Gladiator, I first and foremost consider this to be a Jeep - incomparable off-road capability with a removeable top!!
