Ecodiesel recall and reprogram...

Did my recall service reprogram today on my 2021 JTRD-- was having DEF consumption issues and low mpg... 2.5" lift with 37s... was only getting 18 mpg going 80... now getting 22.5 mpg going 80, much better. FYI... seems like the recall service helped me for sure. Not sure of others experience?

Did you ever drive your Gladiator stock? What was your MPG then? Did you try 35s? And I feel like you should get more than 22 with 37s.

Im getting 20 with 37s 2" lift and a canopy... seems about average from what I hear from others. Are you seeing more than 22 mpg on your truck? with 37s?

i get around 19-20 average, called today to schedule appointment.. SA agreed that there is a recall for DEF consumption

I've picked up a couple of miles per gallon as well. Was getting 22.5ish on Rubicon take offs(33s). Now getting 24.5+ still driving the same.

I can’t find any recall info. Could you post some info please. Sometimes getting things done at a dealer can be challenging. Thanks. I tow a lot and have about 10,000 trouble free miles. I have probably put 7 1/2 gallons of DEF in and showing about 40% full now.

Emissions Recall Y81: calls for a reprogram of the PCM 68338877AF -> AG. Just had this done on our JT

Started initially as a recall in Canada, which made it's way to us.

Thanks for posting this. Just checked the app and I'm in the recall. I've got 5k miles and I've added 5 gallons (came full obviously) and now have just over 1/2 tank left. Seems high usage. Also, my mileage has not been stellar. 19 mpg overall. 80-85mph on stock was around 18mpg. Changed to 35s, but haven't updated speedo yet so don't know exactly but seems to have not made much impact based on fuel stops.

They flashed my ECU for this at my last oil change. Never had DEF usage issues and still don’t, but my miliage has noticeably increased since that update. I was averaging 22-23 city and 27-28 highway but now it’s 24-25 city and 29-31 highway.

I had the recall done. Fuel mileage has improved although it has warmed up here too so that will play into better mileage. I was using very little def before the recall only 2.5 gallons for 5k.
