Since the JT comes stick with a backup camera, what backup camera do you need the outlet for?

Oh my camper. Getting that in a couple weeks. I wish they had a way to tie it into the existing screen with android auto or something.

I'm looking at the Curt unit. There should be room on the dash to mount the control knob to the left of the steering wheel. I would like to see the instructions for the Mopar unit to see if it possible to also mount it there. I need the 12v outlet and am not willing to give it up.

100% agree - wish all campers had a camera that would directly interface with modern truck backup camera displays. Heck, I'd like something like that on the back end of my car hauler.

I thought it was Chevy that had the commercials for the invisible trailer?
I haven't looked into it, but I would assume it is a wireless camera tied into the truck camera system, that attaches to the back of the trailer.

Ford Chevy same thing to me. The doors and roof stay on at all times. So dumb.

I found it because someone had installed that very unit just to the left of the steering wheel. I thought it was a pretty good spot without giving up the 12V.

I may have missed if someone else posted this, but the part description reads as follows (emphasis added by me): "The controller and status display are mounted in the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel, and the included control lever can activate the trailer brakes independent of the truck's brakes. Drivers can customize the amount of brake force the trailer uses, depending on load requirements."

I have a back up camera on my camper too. Found a wire on amazon that will connect the camera to the usb-c port, so I can still plug in my phone and not need the 12V.

There are speculations, but so far nothing is confirmed as to what this thing will do. For all we know it could be a rebranded curt with a markup on it.

Brake Controller? Correct me if I am wrong, according to the Owners Manual while towing you are to use the manual shift mode this will also be the same as the Locking In your transmissions torque Converter, Otherwise you risk transmission slippage or possible damage. I was concerned without a brake control this may happen also the manual said do not cut into any brake wiring? Testing I did apply brakes and they worked with manual shift mode proportionately.

Also i found a "Plug and Play" Brake control on Amazon for Jeep seven prong receiver after trying my tow I did not think it was necessary.
