Fire extinguisher mounting locations

Hello did search only found random stuff. Keep finding flashlight stuff. Pics and/or location would be great. Right now I have small one under back seat.

Quick detach mount in my truck. Got it from Amazon. Mounted inside driver rear door to roll bar.

Behind the rear seats or under them (assuming you don't have carseats in there. I'd be hesitant to mount it to any bars simply because knocking your head on it would hurt.

I did consider this, but due to lack of options I decided this was the best one for me. If I'm on a trip the back seat is either covered in kids or covered in gear (depending on solo trip or family trip) and I didn't want to fight car seats or throwing things out the truck to get to the extinguisher during a fire. I keep non emergency items under and behind the seat (general mechanic tools, etc.)

Now, once I have more time to fool with it, I considered looking into a mount that may position it off the front of one of the front seats by the floor - but I needed this installed before our trip to Merus next week - and they require an extinguisher.

I did something similar to the post above:

Temporary mount since I wasn't sure if this is where I really wanted it, I just used velcro straps around the extinguisher's base and the roll cage...2-1/2 years ago...

It comes with some hose clamps that have rubber sleeves to attach everything.

I can’t remember where I read this before so I’m gonna take credit myself and say I came up with this...

It’s good to have 2 extinguishers: one inside the cab and one in the bed of the truck. (If fire breaks out in cab or vice versa).

Odds are in your favor that you’ll be able to be able to grab one of the two.

And if you can’t grab either, well, hopefully you’ll have access to your cooler. You can have a beverage while you watch the show!

I have this one on the back seat driver's side roll bar. It really holds the extinguisher tightly in place. May take an extra couple of seconds to undue the velcro straps but I am good with that.
