I have the ScanGauge 3 and agree it is better than the 2, I just greatly dislike the amount of space it takes up for the Jeep… it blocks a big enough section of the windshield to be annoying, and doesn’t really fit anywhere else.
I have mine mounted using the included window suction cup. It sits in the corner of the windshield sandwiched between the a-pillar grab handle and the upper dash speaker grill. Its completely out(mostly)of site unless you are looking for it.
I will try to get a better pic tomorrow if it ever stops raining.. lol
Even though JScan can monitor a couple functions, I don't think its purpose built, detailed or has the capacity/potential of the Scangauge.
IMO, if I had a JScan, then I would use it, but if I was buying a stand alone device just to monitor my diesel engine, then hands down, I would buy the SG3. But I also have a Tazer and use it for similar JScan functions.
