Ok, as promised here is a peek at our progress on the design. Some details have evolved a bit as we go into scaled 3D modeling but the overall aesthetic of our original design is still there. We put a space claim for the factory rear sensors so that caused us to change some details but we are happy with the direction it's going in. Feedback is welcome!

We put a space claim for the factory rear sensors so that caused us to change some details but we are happy with the direction it's going in. Feedback is welcome!

Oh yes, reverse lights as bright as headlights was on our list of features we wanted to incorporate into this design

We are designing these with the goal to meet all FMVSS (DOT) marks but the one constraint that I can see becoming an issue is that there is not much rear-facing space on the light so hitting some marks may be tricky because of this but I think we can get there.

So when you say “Space claim for backup sensor” you really mean the blind spot or cross traffic sensor right?? The sensor in the light is a requirement for me, there is a blind spot along jeep and cross traffic actually works nice.....Jack

Said it before but I'm still partial to a flatter, more rectangular rear face. I still want something that looks Jeep and these look like they're straight off an F150. The bed edge is still square so going too rounded detracts from the body lines and looks out of place.
