Should’ve beta tested on more than just their own Jeep and sent some out to be tested by more people so these problems could’ve been assessed a whole lot earlier. Made us all wait this long so you guys could make it “perfect” since you only release the best, which I agree with for the most part in most cases since I have installed multiple lights from oracle on my Jeep, but you guys dropped the ball on this one. All these problems shouldn’t be occurring for the amount of time we spent waiting and the amount we had to pay. I love the look and functionality but as with many other people my reverse lights keep shutting off after 1 second after being on. I cannot be driving around with reverse lights that do not stay on in good Conscience. We need a solution to all of our problems and we need it fast.

JTR LED with bsm

Installed in about 30mins, followed their vid.
Disconnecting oem plugs are difficult. broke the red lock on one of them.
Unscrew/free the bsm cradle from oem light before trying to disconnect the bsm plug.

No chance the harness can be reclipped to the inner wall, assuming that doesnt matter.

Plug & play, Everything works as it should, no warnings. Edit. After a week without Im now getting the dash warning light that the rear lights are out. Im returning these light
Reverse light is blinding!
Fitment is meh, the bed side does not follow the contour of the truck, the trunk side fits fine.
The trunk side of the unit could have been molded to more of a smooth finish, looks undone.
Not sure if bsm works, need to take her outside the neighborhood lap. Will edit this when I know.

Overall I like em and they are staying on.

Edit. Well after a week without, I’m now getting the dash warning light that the rear lights are out. Im returning these as Im not buying a programmer to remove the warning light.

Did yours start with halogen or led? Are you still using the resistor? Have you made any changes with Tazer or JScan? I had halogen, and I’ve tried mine successfully with the resistor, then also without the resistor after JScan.

The resistor only affects the main red tail lights, it does nothing for the reverse lights (@JP_Oracle confirmed this). As of now, I think a programmer is REQUIRED to get the reverse lights working properly regardless if you had OEM halogen or OEM LED.

thats what it’s looking like and I’m not wanting to drop another $300 just to get the reverse lights to work. I’m switching from halogen so I’m using the resistors and the taillights and turn signals all work perfectly. It’s just the reverse lights that are being the problem and the only solution I’ve seen or heard are to spend money for a programmer and I am definitely not happy at all about it after waiting this long just to find out the only solution is to spend more money on something that was supposed to be “plug and play”. What a bunch of BS that was.

@Oracle Designs is there any other solution that doesn’t lead to me having to spend more money on this “plug and play” product? I’m all ears.

I hope a programmer isn’t needed, would be a drag and waste of money.

It’s weird that some are affected and some aren’t. My reverse lights worked both before and after adjusting the settings with JScan. Do you know anyone with a JScan? Another VIN license is only $20.

Its not that I can't afford or figure out how to get a programmer to change settings, it's that I won't use one until I'm out of warranty, and that Oracle has advertised this as plug and play when it's not for some of us.

I understand your concern, but JScan doesn’t leave an imprint like some programmers. Mine has been in for warranty work multiple times after having been programmed for tire size and pressure. I’ve even had the PCM flashed with new software updates. It only makes changes that are already options in the factory PCM (or Uconnect system).

Got mine in and installed. Too dark for proper photos so I’ll post them tomorrow. Install was very easy.

For the record: Factory LED with BSM sensors.

No error codes and I seem to get full range on blind spot monitoring when testing with the wives car. At least it does the job of eliminating the blind spot ?

edit: I do not have a j scan or tazer and did not need to clear any codes. Everything worked out of the box minus removing the resistor

So it went competly cold for days. Came back up saturday as being in Cali with ETA unknown. Shows up this morning close to home. So LA to CA, just to get to NC then SC. Hell of a journey these things have been on. Glad they got over here so fast, must have ended up on a wrong truck then skipped a scan or two.
Mines still unknown eta. No updates today.

My install:

Factory halogen
Oracle flush mount
Oracle tail lights

Due to some issues with the reverse lights harness, I tapped the factory harness.

Ran one reverse light off each side.

I got the turn signal error on the driver's side only. The driver blinker was working fine but the dash had hyper flash to the driver only.

I also already have a tazer so I toggled from led: No to yes. Full reboot. Didn't do anything. Back to no, reboot, back to yes, reboot. It then stopped hyper flashing and has worked since Friday night.

I possibly have a different scenario as my reverse light harness had wires crossed that just happened to be the turn signal wires. Possibly caused the error and maybe it doesn't clear right away?

Going to check the reverse lights to make sure they stay on. When on for a bit. I never have them on for long as backing up is 5-30 seconds at most

can you explain how you got the reverse lights to work by tapping the factory harness, I really want to make these lights work without coding.
