Hello to all.
In the market for a front track bar. Rear I went with Clayton for tire clearance.

Front- looked at synergy and read about clearance issues on the axle mount.

Steer smarts I am reading clearance issues with aftermarket covers (running a nodular iron Dana cover…)

Next looking at dynatrac? But haven’t read much.

My only “requirement” is the ability to adjust while bolted on the vehicle….

Opinions/recommendations, and lessons learned are appreciated.

if they all have quirks I’ll probably fall back to the synergy and get happy with a grinder. ??? their stuff held up great on the JK…

I went with metalcloak because they gave me the most differential clearance and easily rebuildable. Been on for over 40000 miles and no problems to report

Thanks- price is nice too @ $200. Looks like the axle end has to be un-bolted and spun to adjust? Looks like the only con. (Yes-lazy and like being able to adjust without un-bolting ;) )

What lift do you have? I suggest making sure whatever you go with matches the type of bushings or joints in your lift to reduce binding. If you have JJ's on your lift, but clevite bushings on the bar, the bar is going to be stressed and bushings likely fail prematurely.

That being said, I am happy with the steersmarts. I like the OEM style bushings. Adjustable without removing, and way beefy. But, I would think it might have clearance issues from the sounds of your aftermarket diff cover.

I did the Clayton in the rear like you did. For spare tire clearance. In the front. I went with the Core 4x4 track bar. It has Johnny Joints at both ends with grease fittings.

Had the steersmarts, was great until I went to tie rod mounted steering stabilizer, then the clamps just got in the way. It's a good bar that is really let down by the clamps.

Went to metal cloak instead, notice no difference in handling steering, but I have a ton of clearance and it's cheap and easily rebuildable.

It does but will never move by itself. The only other negative was on some years the bracket on the axle end had to be ground out. Watch the install videos before purchasing. It was do to this step I had a shop install for me but can be done at home with the right tools

I have the Clayton in the rear as well to fit my 37” spare. The front is made by ReadyLift and it came with the lift kit I pieced together. It functions as it should, but has come loose on two occasions and made quite a bit of noise while the front end wandered around aimlessly on the highway. I can’t believe they don’t recommend loctite on that stuff. Throughout the entire suspension and steering systems, the only thing that called for loctite was the steering stabilizer. Weird. When this one fails I’ll likely have a core 4x4 on order as well.

With the Core. You have to grind the hole bigger for clearance on the axle bracket.

Metalcloak for the win!
35,000 miles on the suspension with no issues to report.
I know you have to take a bolt out to adjust, but come on man it’s one bolt?

Metalcloak here, and I had to grind down some welds on the axle side for it to fit

Had a steer smart at first put to may clearance problems
I now have Synergy on both my jeeps
The Synergy is also bent to clear a sector shaft brace. A sector shaft brace is must have if you want to stop the steering box from flexing on the frame

I went with Steersmarts and I have a Dana aftermarket diff cover. I had previously shaved down the top of the diff cover - took about 1/4” off my of a fin to clear my Rusty’s Trackbar (which I don’t recommend - the heim joint failed in 33,000 miles). Seems to be fine but I have not had a chance to get it off road yet. Good luck.
