I know it will never happen, so let me get that out of the way, but....what if Jeep made a "scaled up" Jeep Gladiator full size truck with full size truck towing capability and payload, v8, expanded interior space, with the same Jeep aesthetics and off road capability? Same rugged interior/exterior design, removable top, etc. Would you buy one? Personally, I love my Gladiator, but yes, I would absolutely be interested

Made them many years ago. Why did they stop? That may be why there isnt one now. I’d love to see a full size straight axle 1/2 ton again I had a 1965 Gladiator step side

The power wagon already exists and now you can even get it in a diesel on top of the v8 that's always been offered. I can't see them building a 1500/ 1/2 ton when they already build the same thing in a 2500. The gladiator skin wouldn't make it any more capable than the Ram if you're scaling it up to full size anyway.

I mean, if we want to get specific the current gladiator would classify as a half-ton truck. Yes the payload is BARELY a half-ton, but it's there. Tow 6k lbs, that's right up there with a mid 90's V6 C1500 chevy or F-150 (both of which had larger payloads, yes, but still).

Short answer - no. This truck was expensive enough, can't fathom how much they'd charge for a "bigger" version.

How big? Definitely cut into RAM sales.
Cutting into RAM sales is the biggest reason I don't think it will ever happen, but this would be a different product having a removable top, which non-Jeep people don't care about anyway

I know I'd never buy it, that's for sure. I just had my truck in for a bunch of corrosion and they provided me a Ram 1500. Good lord, what a barge. The Gladiator is already about the size of a "full size" truck from 40 years ago, current 1/2 ton trucks aren't vehicles, they're mobile architecture.

If Jeep made the Gladiator the size of the Kaiser 715 or the original Gladiator I'd be on board - a 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton (or even a "5/4 ton") tough truck in the package of a modern 1/4 ton - in that case I would be throwing my money at them.

The Gladiator is already a couple inches larger in most dimensions than I'd like, so no, I wouldn't be interested.

Can't say I haven't eyeballed an AEV Prospector XL more than once though...

The Gladiator has a wheelbase of 137". The 3rd Gen Power Wagon has a wheelbase of 140". That's 3". The 4th Gen got a 149" wheelbase. Because everyone wanted a crew cab with a full 6ft bed. Fear if they made a full size Gladiator. It would end up like the 4th Gens. Huge.

Honestly, if I wanted another full sized truck, the world is my oyster. This aluminum body F150 FX4 with a Coyote only took up a little more space in the garage than my JT. A heck of a lot larger interior. Could it do Jeep stuff? never tried to, just gravel and dirt, but I like my current JT smaller, which is why I traded out of the Ford.

I’d rock one of the old school Power Wagons in a heartbeat. The newer ones are take it or leave it for me. I know they have a pretty good following but to me it’s just another trim level they tack on for more cash.
