Gladiator 4XE Towing Capacity Maximum

Currently have a Wrangler 4XE which I enjoy, but want to get a traveler trailer so that my girlfriend and I (and two dogs) can travel more. Wrangler is capped at 3,500 lbs, I understand that a Gladiator with Max Tow Package can tow 7,700 lbs. I am looking at trailers in the 3,500 - 5,000 lbs range.

The 2024 Wrangler 3.6 can tow 5,000 but the 2024 4XE is still rated at 3,500. Does anyone know if the Gladiator 4XE (for 2025) with max tow will also be at 7,700?

No word yet what it will be able to tow or if there will be a max tow package available on the 4xE.

It's pure speculation but the Grand Cherokee 4xe is at 6k lbs. I can't imagine we will be lower than that but I also wouldnt expect to be up at max row range because of heat and battery weight.

there is now way the 4e will be paired with the max tow. With the battery pack and electric motor you’re adding weight already. It will be lucky to have a 5k tow rating.

I fully expect the 4xe JT to be rated somewhere 4500-6000lb tow capacity. The chances of getting a comparable rating to the 3.6L Max Tow are likely nil due to the weight issues already mentioned.

Wrangler 4XE is 1,000 pounds heavier than the Wrangler, so that means at least a 1,000 to 1,500 pound less towing capacity. I could live with 6,000 lbs.

Sorry to revive an older thread but I haven't been able to find much information since this thread. Has anyone been able to confirm the towing capacity on the upcoming JT4XE? If not, any idea when we might get confirmation? I too could live with a 6K towing capacity on a Gladiator 4XE. As there's a lot of added weight with the 4XE package I'm a little concerned about what GVWR and GCWR will look like.

The information won't be available until Jeep releases it, which most likely will be when it's ready for the market. The only definitive information available about the 4xe JT is that there will be one for 2025.

The maximum tow capacity for most of the models is 6k. I would not expect it to be more than that, and it will probably be less. The Payload capacity will be reduced due to the battery weight.
