Gladiator 85th Anniversary Edition [Added: live look video & photos]

They had a countdown on the jeep.com site specifically for the Gladiator Convoy. It didn't say it was an anniversary edition or part of the 12 four 12 program at all.

Right so the Convoy program is the same as the 12 Four 12. The first one was last month, this was the second, there’s one more.

Why they called it the “Convoy” when it’s only 3 is beyond me.

Scion had limited models EVERY YEAR, for EVERY MODEL, until they were canceled internally, it was part of the whole brand. VW Still makes limited trims (why I made the VW joke).

Manufacturers don't bother anymore because people that want those things can't afford them anymore, and the people who can don't care about eccentric/"gaudy" versions. At least none of the rich douches I've ever met selling vehicles did.

That's not only UGLY AF, but a ripoff too! $4,000 for a Casa Blanca front end? The OEM JDM Subaru Casa Blanca body kit wasn't even that much, and CAME WITH lights.

NGL, I'm starting to think jeep owners are a little slow with how much people are willing to fork over for things. $10k for a turbo/SC kit that still needs mods/tuning? $6k+ for a used engine? It's like people think they own a BMW or Mercedes. I know new vehicles are more expensive, but JFC, even a used Jap engine isn't even half that. And other than German/Italian sports cars, a full bolt-on turbo kit ready for a dyno tune isn't even half.

They're silver, just not as dramatic silver as the AI / computer generated adverts would lead you to believe.

Well - the 85th is a Sport, and Sport Wranglers get that nasty ass cheap bumper still. All models of Gladiators nowadays get the 'nicer' plastic bumper if you don't get a steel bumper.

What did you expect? Not just stickers, an already offered wheel in a different color, some badges, and some plaid?
