Going by that sellers stated numbers, he has close to $131K in mods + vehicle cost. Basically they want 100% return on their sunken costs. That is going to be a tough sell. To go that far and not do coilovers is a B- effort.

I cant stand people who just add the price of the thing they added to a vehicle... you took off wheels and tires that did cost $2500, now you added wheel and tires that cost $3500... you only added $1000 to the value, not $3500

I agree. Most mods don’t actually add value, just add to the persons liking of the vehicle.

I would add, the for the wheel and tire example above, they added no value, just added a net $1000 to their personal cool factor. Another one I see sometimes is “custom paint” and they think it adds value. Nope, you might have spent money on a paint job but you just changed the color and added no actual value to the vehicle.

But, it's only worth what it's worth to you. I've been a hotrodder for 50 years and would've bought my gladiator with the 5.7 if it was available but a gladiator with 700+ hp has no attraction to me. It's not a track vehicle and IMHO there is no reason for that hp offroad unless you have a race truck.

I agree, the Deamon's and Elephants are just for stupid money. A 392 would be awesome, and Jeep knows that considering they made the 392 factory in the wranglers. No idea why they wouldn't have done the same thing for the Gladiator, a larger vehicle with more power demands, but it is what it is.

as long as my boat doesn't somehow grow, lol, I'll likely have my gladiator for years to come. I don't see anything wrong with the base, and when a major malfunctions does happen the 392/8speed will get put in.
