I wonder if Dramamine would help the projectile vomiting before a fill up ? It works for me when I go deep sea fishing.

Add me to the list on my 2023 Gladiator Sport S. I have about 2000 miles on it and has happened to me 3 times. This is unacceptable. Going to have to take it to the dealer soon. Sheesh....

I am getting it now once in a blue moon. Starting to see a pattern with certain stations and certain specific pumps I am using.

I have also started to use the lower flow rate latch bar setting now on the handle and that seems to help mitigate it also.

Just dropped off mine at the dealership this morning for this issue. Will report back what they say. The shop foreman did not act like this was a common issue.

They are replacing the fuel filler neck assembly. The scoped it (actually sent me a link to the video) and the welds are failing. They said this happened at the factory.

Wow, now I want to scope mine (truck not my a$$). They replaced a breather hose which help 90% of the time but I didn’t get the scope and it still has the issue every now and again.

maybe I should just trade it for the 4xe when it comes out before the paint shows the effects of the gas spills.

Yea the dealership I go to started this new thing where they actually record a video of their findings and send it to you. Pretty cool stuff. Even when they do their "multi point" inspections.

The video showed corrosion starting and the welds starting to separate. Waiting to find out what that means for the entire fuel system. I know there is a fuel filter in the tank so don't know if I am really that worried or not. I only have 11,000 miles on the truck so far.

That's pretty sad considering I have 40 year old vehicles with no sign of rust in the fuel system - filler or tank (steel tank) and have a tank in storage that has no rust. What the heck are they using that it's rusting already, and how are they welding that the welds are failing (assuming spot or pinch welds)

I too have this issue with gas burping out the gas fill. Depending on the gas pump, it happens about 50% on the time. I have tried every setting on the fuel nozzles and it has happened on every setting. Very annoying to say the least! I am also wondering if I really am getting 22 gallons into the tank. Next time I take the Jeep in for service, I will ask the service rep to look into this issue.

22 gallons is an empty tank total capacity and if you see that number, you likely heard the engine dying as you pulled into the station.
Don't try to max it out. You'll have more trouble than that extra gallon is worth.

Spilling and burping isn't normal, but don't try to stuff 22 gallons into it or you'll be talking to the dealership about that MIL being on indicating you've flooded the evaporative emissions devices.
