Nice, I'm not the only one with matching toys! Gave my SCX6 a coat of paint. Nobody makes a Glad body for it yet. And actually, I finished this just a week before I found out Gobi was coming back.

Hey everyone, I tried using the Jeep chat last week and the person I spoke with said they didn't know when Gobi was going to be put in Production. Has anyone received any word of their Jeep being built, or even moved into D1 yet? I know I have o be patient, but damn, almost 2 months of it being available to order and I haven't seen anyone say they have had any progress yet.

Well if all of these Gobi builds arrive in Idaho at the same time all of us Californians should just charter a plane up there. Would be a lot cheaper and with a charter your allowed hookers and blow. And to partake of adult beverages.
I personally think a convoy of Gobi Gladiators rolling down the 15 from Idaho to California would look pretty cool. Though some of us are way too familiar with desert colored vehicle convoys!?

Well I’m of CroMag proportions so I intentionally made sure I didn’t have that big ass black box behind the mirror. Might even remove a Freedom panel so I can see over the roll bar.

Gobi is supposed to start being sprayed May 9th.

So, I‘ve read 2 posts from different people that Gobi was starting production around 5/7’ish. From what I could tell, it seemed like insider scheduling information, so don’t hold your breath if wrong. However, if you’re looking for a date to put off to to then recheck, I’d sorta have a hunch that day is more reasonable than not. I sorta now get why the order guide refers to Gobi as a ”Late Availability”. I’m only guessing that they opened orders in advance to build out their production schedule plan before they actually changed over to that color run. I’ll be curious to see how long that color is available. My guess is that they’re only allotting so many production days to it and the order banks will close when they’ve met their quota, but that's still just wild speculation.

Good to hear that they're finally going to start spraying...only 2 months after Gobi was available. That's Jeep for ya, but I'm happy to hear I should be getting closer to being done!!
