I have already made the decision 5.13s are the way to go for my Daily and wheeling needs.

My question is this, what brand did you or have you used? Yukon Gear and Axle are a NO GO for me as how they fucked me on my Tahoe.

Nitro appears to be the way to go.......or is it.

Iā€™m pretty sure my shop used spicer gears. They hate Yukon as well. I was happy to buy something not made in China, which is where Iā€™m told Yukon is made. Canā€™t always have that choice in todays world, but when I can, I do.

Edit: Iā€™ve been very happy with them. No issues.

My vendor that did the install on my Tahoe has since broken his vendorship with Yukon Gear and Axle because they kept fucking him over on labor reimbursement. So I went with Richmond Gear for the second rebuild.

I will look into Spicer gears. Not looking for cheap china, I'd rather pay more for Made in America and know I have a quality product.

Agree on Yukon. Thatā€™s what the shop used in mine and the contact between gears is thin. Iā€™ve read good things about nitro, but have had two gear only shops say go with Dana gears.

Gears are defiantly worth the $, especially if you have the added size and weight of a 37" or larger tire.

Check out Revolution Gear. They are made in the US except for their economy line of axle shafts. They used to be affiliated with Superior gear before they went under.

I used a set to regear a Dana 30 and they set up well.

Dana Spicer for Dana axles.

Revolution if you cannot get Dana Spicer.

Last I knew, Revolution ring and pinions are made by Circle K and they come from South Korea.

I've had Nitro 5.13s in my TJ for a few years now, turning bigger tires than they really should, and behind a supercharger. No problems to report
