I have a 23 JTR. Stock suspension. But have added the 8" wide Rubicon Extreme Recon XR wheels with +12 offset and BFG 12x35s that give me about 1' poke. It also seems to have made the steering to have a bit more wander. Not necessarily horrible, but seems more than it had new. Now considering changing the LCAs for the extended ones that come with the lift kit. I do not plan on lifting the truck so I don't really need adjustable ones. Will these change the caster too much? Last time it was aligned, it was about 4 degrees.

I did the Mopar 2 inch lift and used the Mopar arms. Caster went for 4.2 to 6.

The wander could be the wider tires tracking all the seams and cracks in the road.

It also could be over-inflated tires.

I run these control arms on all of my Jeeps and they make a noticeable difference. On my last Mojave I had a 1 inch spacer and these control arms were great. On my JLUXR I added them and they made a positive improvement. That said both Jeeps sat 2 inches higher than a stock Rubicon….
If the wheels/tires made a difference you should start there, play with tire pressure, do the chalk test for PSI.

23' JTM just like yours. Mine is on 37s no lift. the mopar extended LCAs are the best bang for buck mod i did. caster is at nice 5.8~6 ish degrees (depends on machine used to read it). Tracks down the interstate like a dream. An yeah you'll never need to lift the truck. most 2in kits designed for the gladiator will only lift a Mojave .5 to.75 inches and that negligible change thats not worth the squeeze. and 2in is the most I'd lift any truck. My JTM is getting a "2in" lift, it'll only be .5 above stock and that's just so i can add bumpstop spacers to limit uptravel to accommodate the V8 swap. It will also let me run 10in travel fox shocks over the OEM 8in travel Fox shocks. minimal lift, maximum travel.

So, it appears you added close to 2 deg of caster, assuming you were about 4 to begin with. Before adding the extended LCAs I also assume you had a bit of wander.

Go for it.

Threads like this remind me that I bought these longer Mopar arms three years and 30K miles ago when I did my leveling kit and have yet to put them on 😆

LOL When you do get them out to put them on would you mind putting them next to your stock arms and let me know if you can measure or see a difference in the lengths? I put the linger arms on but before I did I put them next to the stock arms and could not see a difference in them except for the part number of course.

Thanks

Anyone have a part number for the extended lower control arms by chance? Please and thank you. 😁

This post shows a 1/4" difference, or so. It's very subtle.
