As Almost said…in settings in your infotainment system, you can modify both horn and light settings. When camping I turn both them off as not to annoy other campers when locking and unlocking.

LOL I'm the complete opposite, I turn the horn and lights off normally (I have horn chirp set to 2nd button press) but when I'm camping I make it so all the lights and sounds go. We do dispersed camping so there's no one else to bother, so if I hear something scary in the middle of the night I can get the site illuminated quick! As Almost said…in settings in your infotainment system, you can modify both horn and light settings. Leave $100 bill on the seat and walk away.Is there a quiet way to check if I've locked the vehicle?
This is not a TeslaIs there a way to have doors lock automatically when walking away with fob?
I actually want those sensors on all the doors. I find it annoying that I have to grab the front door handle just to open the rear door. Always thought it was about cost cutting. Our new 2024 Sequoia is the same way, no sensors in the rear door handles. I find that to be rediculous for a vehicle at that price range. Two weeks in and I'm having mix feelings about Toyota's fit and finish (driver mirror casing has separated, driver power window is misaligned and makes a popping noise to halfway up to realign itself. Maybe that's just the way things are at this point in time.My wife’s Highlander does that on any door. Drives me crazy! I just have to content the Toyota beep thing has locked it.
Man that blows, sequoia is some serious coin too. 2 weeks going on 25 years already. At this stage of the game that’s probably some truth, lot of money for junk, cars are more disposable than ever I guess. Just go through them like coffee pots.I actually want those sensors on all the doors. I find it annoying that I have to grab the front door handle just to open the rear door. handle on the back door.On my GM cars, I could check if the doors are locked by pulling on the door handle, even if I have the fob with me. To unlock the door with the fob on me, I had to depress the little button on the handle.
With the Gladiator, however, I just have to pull on the handle (with the fob on me) to unlock and open the door. So I can't check if I locked the door by pulling on the handle. I'm left with hitting the lock button on the fob, which causes the horn to beep, or opening the door and locking (again, possibly).

I agree. It’s annoying having to go to the front door and touch the inside of the handle and then go back to the tailgate to open it. Either that, or I stand behind the tailgate and fish around for the keyfob, then realize the metal key has swung out and now its tangled in a jumbled mess as i try to pull it out of my pocket, to unlock the tailgate.I actually want those sensors on all the doors. Funny enough, Sequoia has foot sensor that will unlock if I wave my foot at a point below the bumper. But the gladiator tailgate is a little annoying to use in that sense.I agree. I where scrubs to work everyday. So keyes and wallet are usually in my backpack. I know, first world poblem. I don't think it's really a gripe. We just like to talk about stuff around here.fish for the fob on the way to the vehicle?
I bought this with my first truck five years ago. It eliminated 90% of the problem with the key popping open. It still happens occasionally, but I have two fobs, change, keys, and a small knife in that pocket.I agree.
