I know they're still relatively new but what's the general consensus so far on how Gladiator's will hold their value over time? Are they depreciating at a rate similar to Wranglers or are they much worse?

Article on Forbes referenced the KBB 5 year expected value of 60% compared the the JLU at 57.6%. Be curious to see if this holds.

Depends on mileage. My $46.5k sticker Max Tow is now worth around $30k after 36k miles in 16mo.

Will probably get a good idea sometime in 2022 when all those initial 3 year leases are up and theres a flood of early 2020s on the used market

I bought my 2015 JK in sept of 2014 for $31k, just sold it yesterday for $30k.
hoping my new Gladiator does as good.

I also had 2009 rubicon that I bought for $31k and sold in 2013 for 28k.

Where did you get that value from? I did the carvana trade offer 2 days ago to see what they would pay for it, my sticker was $43, paid $36, carvana offer was $38.5

Used car market has been strong- bid from city dwelllers bailing to the burbs, an initial manufacturing stoppage that lingers in some places and now the chip shortages. No telling how things shake out in a year or so, but currently it’s a good market for used cars.

Just read an article talking about how the gladiator is not a car to buy used because they retain their value so well. Used ones are running only a couple thousand less than a comparable new.

Not the article I read but references similar/same info.

Toyota got 4 models in there.....Tacoma was my alternative to the gladiator. No regrets.

Carvana offered me $27k
Looking at Cars.com for used JTs with my options, closest I could find is 30k miles for $35k

Yeah I did the Carvana thing too. I bought my 2020 Sport MaxTow with 7000 miles for $37,000. I checked Carvana 2 months after I bought the Gladiator and they offered me $39,200.

I was looking at Carvana because I was selling a JKU. While I was there I thought I'd see how I did on the JT :)

It's the mileage that kills the value. Comparing the same 2 vehicles, one with 2 accidents totaling $5k in repairs, and another with no accidents, the sell value is a $2k difference. If I try the same vehicles, even with the reported accidents, but say only 12k miles the value goes way up
