Why would you buy 3 spare stock 3.6L if going the supercharger route? Buy 1 and install forged internals. If you kill the stock motor you can swap in one that should live a long life under boost. Even there you'd be under half the cost and I believe magnusson advertises 22% more horsepower than the 5.7L. It keeps the mojave sauce the most of all the options (almost the same nose weight and weight distribution) and turns up the spice at a relatively low cost.
A guy did a forge build on here. came back a few weeks later about a demon swap. I don't think it went well for him.

Could just be deep pockets and 800+ hp is a lot more fun than +400hp if money is no object? There's a hellcat swapped tesla I've seen on YouTube (which is slower than a stock tesla). Just because someone changed build plans I wouldn't assume there was anything wrong with the initial build. Could be the rabbit hole of "it's forged so I can turn up the boost", which puts you in a spot where you may turn it up too much.

I'll be That Guy and point out that the EcoDiesel beats your torque requirement with a 100k factory warranty. It even already has the good trans, good axles, and good knuckles. The only difference between any trim EcoD and your Mojave is the bouncy bits, which are easily replaced.

The "instant mashed potatoes of engines" line in post #1 got a chortle out of me though :D

Check out Motech on YouTube under Wrangler JKLS. He gives you some pretty good info on an LT vs a semi hemi. If I had the money, once the 3.6 eats it, I'd go for the GM 6.2 with their 10 speed all day long.

the only issue for me is i have the non compatible ECU. IDk what i'd have to do to make a built motor with a mag work

My only turn away from the ECO is that deisel ain't my cup of tea. it works but i don't think it fits what the Mojave is. A high revving, quick pace, loose surface, whoop eating, toy. deisel gives it a feel for in tune to a crawler/ work horse. which is why it pairs to the rubi so well. the deisel rubi would have been my out the gate choice then. I like noise, i like V8s, i like speed, i want the torque but i don't wanna lose other features just for it. if that makes sense.

Fair enough, and a good assessment. If you want to retain that feeling of light on it's feet while still upping the HP you should choose whatever gasser upgrade option is lightest.

thats the LTX but i don't trust the 850RE to hold long term, which is why I'm considering the 5.7. I think the 6.4 is better price but likely to lead me down a rabit hole i didn't intend too. actually i got that backwards. google says the 6.4 is lighter by 65 lbs. weird. must be cut from the same block

I'm sure I'll get immediately corrected on this but I think the 5.7 is an iron block and 6.4 aluminum, thus the 6.4 being the lighter of the two.

392 takes the lead again. Its just one of those thing. dropping almost 40k on a mod. not something you wanna fumble lol

If I would live in a place where I could do convertions the way I want and if I would have the talent (or the money to source it out), my first choice would be the LS7. For me one of the best pieces of engineering ever. Second choice would be the LS6.

392 should just bolt up with minimal mods, I'd think but you're also looking at another 200lbs over the front axle vs the Pentastar.

The higher weight will cause premature wear issues with the front suspension and brakes and possibly some nose-dive on hard braking. It also might not be noticeable at first given the increase in WHEEEE factor but eventually that bill will come due.

However that can be balanced out by more or less an OEM swap and not having to reconfigure/replace OEM electronic bits. Also that any Jeep shop theoretically could work on it if you stay within the MOPAR family.

The 850RE can handle a lot more power than the 392 can lay down in stock form- over 700lb/ft. I can't recall the specifics but I think the only difference between the 850RE and the 8HP75 is where it is built. The 8HP75 is built by ZF in Germany, the 850RE is licensed by ZF to be built by Stellantis in Indiana. Could be wrong on that end.
