So there's a few swapping companies out there. Bruisers, AMW4x4, RubiTrux (pretty sure they just install AMW kits). I'm not seeing a powertrain platform in the future of the gladiator worth holding out for. I like my Mojave and want to keep till one of us ends in some way. the 3.6 ain't it however. Its a motor, and it works (most of the time). But its the instant mash potatoes of motors as far as I'm concerned. Generally these kits cost in the 35-55k depending on the power your looking for. So I'll list some basic info about what I'm considering and ya'll give that good ol' $0.02 bout it.

Bruisers - LX3 6.6 V8 550HP - stock trans (yikes) - $34k (for a stock trans setup, oof) - plug n' play - 93 pump gas

AMW4x4 opt 1 - 5.7 HEMI V8 395HP 410FT-LB (do ya need more?) - 8HP750 trans (nice) - 34k (still a kick in the pants) - plug n' play - 88 pump gas

AMW4x4 opt 2 - 6.4 SRT HEMI V8 505 HP 475FT-LB (thats alot) - 8HP750 trans (nice) - 36k ish (is the extra power worth the small price change?) - plug n' play - 91 pump gas

DIY - source a LS 5.3 and figure it out. (easy way to ruin a 50k truck and end up on jack stands for a decade, lol)

Magnusson - 3 LKQ spare motors to go with it - need to source a different ECM- 20k

Edit: as far as I'm aware the AMW kits require a 2in lift. This will be 392 Wrangler springs, I already have LCAs on the truck, 2in bumpstop spacers to keep my hydros, and then paired with an appropriate FOX Elite 2.5 tuned for this setup by accutune. It will still be for all intents and purposes an OEM+ Mojave. As if Jeep released a 392 Mojave as an option.
Why not look at building a forged 3.6 and then going with a SC? Last I saw the DIY kits for a Hemi swap where around $22K not including the engine. But the kit did come with a Trans.

prodigy makes a kit but idk if i'd trust forged internal alone to squeeze me by. I'd want to lower the compression as well.

edit: i found a thread by a guy that did one. apparently while you can do a bunch of stuff to the bottom end, your a bit SOL on the valvetrain and the 3.6 like to drop valves in these "built applications" with no fix in the foreseeable future. I want to do some pretty rural long distance stuff with the long range tank i have planned. idk if i want a boosted system with extra failure points on top of a motor that has valvetrain issues stock or built. I don't like being stranded. but i'm not going back to Toyota.

Thought about your post.. I'm a NO on the superchargers. If I do mine it will be with the 5.7L .. Reg Gas and I am of the mind set that the D44s in the Mojave are tough enough for my intended Use.. I ain't a Rock Crawler !
That would be my choice. The 5.7 is plenty spicy and premium gas would give me heartburn.

Who is RPM Supreme? I tried Googling and couldn't find anything.
It is RPM Extreme. I hope the kits have improved. That is the kit that I got for my 6.0 LS, JKU conversion. Lots of little issues that never got fixed. Got really tired of it.

my concern here is weight and the 5.7 seems a tad heavier despite it being more reasonable for what i want. and i spend far too much time above 3k, which is why i think 500 horses may be on the shouldn't have it side. thanks for your input. anything noticeable change about the driving dynamics?
5.7 and 6.4 are both cast iron blocks with aluminum heads. So weight would be about equal. In fact i do not believe any hemi has an aluminum block. You would have to do one of the LS's to get an aluminum block like the 6.2's
Mine drives and tracks very well. In fact with all the mods and the hemi it drives better. No more screaming V6 on the highway or up the passes.

that is true. TRX is big and way more money than the option we are considering
Yeah I would like to the a 392 swap because it would be cheaper than buying a TRX, Raptor R or a JLU 392. I already have the truck which is worth somewhere in the 30k range because of mileage and year so another 30-40k isn't getting me anywhere near the price of the other vehicles. MY JTR has almost 80k miles now

Same. Plus I drive too much as well. 25k and my truck is barely 7 months old. I got her 0 odo factory order. She’s maybe worth 42k if I’m lucky? Already has scratches, bumps and dings. Frame paint sure as shit ain’t new. In our case, why trade in, dump 60k plus more, still need some mods and then never drive it like we use too cus it cost a third as much as your house. No thanks.

This is my passion. It’s the the thing I’d eat packaged ramen, and wear 20 year old thread bare underpants to afford it. If that’s what it took. I cannot and will not do boring cars. No furniture in the house? Ehh. Same worn out boots since 18? Don’t care. Eat out? Not that hungry. Drive a non descript economy vehicle? Only if I absolutely have too and I’ll hate every damn second of it. As long as I have a cool set wheels, I could care less about anything else. Other than my wife that is. Only reason I’m shopping for a house instead of a 50x50 shop with cot and wood stove is cus of her ?

I'm in the exact opposite situation with my Commander right now.... I like the 5.7 platform in it plenty, but now need to figure out the IFS to SFA situation.

But as I've had a 5.7 (even pre-eagle for that matter) I would be perfectly happy with it in the JT. It's plenty of power over the 3.6 and very reliable.

You could try an oil pan and pickup from a vehicle that has the 5.7 and a solid front axle. Idk if that exist tho. I know it does for the 6.4, cus ram 2500
