It is 4X4!
Tires would not be my choice you can usually hear a Willys coming up to pass you , good tires. It should be optional perhaps. I am a raised white letter guy but not on a truck that goes in the rocks…..Jack
Agree, also if the paint was flat like the rims, that would really be 😎

Ordering 41 color matched door handles and tailgate handle is a free option. I would definitely take advantage of that zero cost option

"It’s a beautiful tribute! I actually had an order in but pulled back—I couldn't justify the trade-in hit and rolling over debt right now.

It’s an awesome-looking truck, and that Mojave-style graphic is killer. Since it’s Willys-based, getting the rear locker, Off-Road Plus, and steel bumpers factory-standard makes it trail-ready out of the box. The 3.73 gears should handle that weight fine, too.

I saw one recently in NJ and that Drab Blue / Drab Olive combo is even better in person. However, the dealbreaker for me was the payload. The one I saw was rated at 870 lbs, which is a massive drop from the 1,765 lbs on my Max Tow. That’s likely why they won’t let you factory-order the heavy JPP rock rails with it.

I also noticed the gloss black grille from the promos isn't standard on the production models. It’s a great spiritual successor to the old Sport S Freedom Editions, but I really wish they’d offered a tan top to complete the look. Definitely one of the best special editions Jeep has released lately.
You can get the tan soft top on the Wrangler

Not a fan. Of the paint color, those awful wheels, or those loud ass tires.

But it sounds like a lot of folks do like it so glad for you fellas 😄
I agree with your "opinion." But I do like the looks, think it's a cool idea, real retro effect. Great for a dealer showroom.

But to drive around and play with, I'd take the mojito Rubicon Wrangler with half doors (preferably 2 door) if I was buying it for a fun (yes, I would find half doors for it, they are still around and have them repainted mojito).

If the '41 package thing for the Gladiator was a couple thousand more than the Sport, then I guess it would be nice. But as mentioned, I'm not sure why the payload is so low. Why not just use the max tow, paint it, put on the retro wheels, and put '41 stickers on it?

I agree. My black JT was coated in dew the other morning when I came out giving it a flat appearance. I just looked at it for a few minutes. It looked so good!!!!

Did they fix the heated steering wheel?

Wondering what was wrong with it.

Good looking truck!

I noticed that 25+ wrangler willys's (willys?) have the hi-line fenders. I wonder why they don't do that for the gladiator?
The '25 Wrangler Willys is basically a Rubicon Light. We have a '25 Willys 4xe. The Willys Gladiator did not get this treatment.

Key similarities and differences for the 2025 Rubicon and Willys Wrangler:
  • Suspension/Axles: The 2025 Willys uses the same shock/spring combination and high-clearance fender flares as the Rubicon.
  • Tires: Both come equipped with 33-inch or available 35-inch tires.
  • Axles & Lockers: The Willys includes heavy-duty Dana 44 axles (M210 front/M220 rear) and a rear electronic locker, which is the same setup found on the Rubicon.
  • Key Differences: The Rubicon often includes a front disconnecting sway bar and a more advanced 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case (depending on the specific package), which are generally not standard on the Willys.

And of course the front locker for the Rubicon.

It was not heating and had bad element, replaced with new wheel, side benefit it has red stiching, so it will be better offroad like a rubicon? Nice to have a brand new wheel at 77,000, this is her first problem, other then sunvisor I fixed with a brace kit. We have a $100 deductible ....Jack
