You must have the sensor - these don't have that. It's not just a setting or software.I'm attempting to get this working on my Overland. It has Forward Collision Control, so I would hope that it's possible.
Anyone with it working from the factory and an OBD tool like JScan care to share what values are set for theirs? In particular, I'm not sure what to set for "Auto High Beam Location" in JScan. Possible values are "ECC_AHBM", "CRVMM", "HALF", "Reserved" and "Reserved". There's also a setting for "ECC AHBM Present On/Off". Or if you could shed some light on what the values mean?
Thanks in advance.
there has to be the wiring and sensing electronics to trigger it.
Auto high-beams are light sensing while collision avoidance is not light sensing, it works on other criteria.
It's not even an option on these - and it's an optional package on the Grand Cherokee - not even automatically included on a GC. Very doubtful if you have to pay extra to get that package on a luxury SUV that it's going to be just thrown in with a truck...........
My dealer even told me "not available" when my wife asked it I could get it on my truck.
