LOL - quality........and yet in the 1990s, Chrysler had to merge with Daimler-Benz. That pissed investors off so Chrysler was again sold and then ended up with Fiat.when I was at orientation, my first day at BMW, the speaker asked our group what was one big thing that affected Chryslers sales? I replied “Lee Iacocca”. He laughed, said “Yes, but what else?” I replied “Quality”, and he said “Exactly”. That was his point, quality can make or break a car company.
I worked on a few of those quality vehicles. If things were so good, wonder why they needed a bailout from a foreign company.
Sales so poor that Plymouth was shut down.
