Is there a way to change from the capped fuel tank to capless like the old Stant part?

I miss my ventilated seats, blind spot monitoring...

Sorry to hear you're disappointment. One of the reasons I got the Mojave is the blind spot monitoring and backup sensors.

It does seem strange that you bought a Jeep when you know all about the lack of get up and go and rougher ride.

Just a minor suggestion: I also traded a sports car for my Jeep. I'm really happy with the choice, but I was happier when I added the Fox 2.0 ATS steering stabilizer to tweak the steering. Brought the steering-feel quite a bit closer to what I preferred.

PS: I'm also a fan of capless. Have it in our Transit van.
How much did the fox 2.0 run? Does it stabilize the rear end some so slight bumps aren’t so jarring or have such a hefty rebound?

Ya, I got a Mohave, but I wanted a Jeep. My last car was loaded. I liked having all that crap, but the market for jeep upgrades is so large that you can make any trim into whatever you want, if you want a Jeep...... You'll soon figure this out. If you don't I feel for ya.
I just f figured he could make a better deal if he didn't wait and if like I said he wants a Jeep.
I bought mine because I wanted a Jeep too, but I didn’t buy it to be a daily driver.

Could try calling the dealer, but it sounds like OP wants to something else. I don’t think a more loaded JT is the answer.
I think this is the answer. I spoke with one dealer who said to wait it out, that I’m gonna take the biggest hit depreciation wise this soon. The dealer I bought it from would leave me around 6k out of pocket unless I chose to go negative. I’m still weighing options. I think I would have been happier with the Ram I was looking at. People have said the Durango would have been the best option, but the whole idea of trading in was for a pick up truck. I had a 2015 Ram and loved it ( was a lease). I was looking at the Warlock trim. I plan to call the dealer again tomorrow and see if there is some way to work it out that doesn’t totally screw me.

I will say this community is great. Instead of being judgmental everyone has been incredibly helpful with great advice!

The steering stabilizer only stabilizes the front. What's the issue with the ride in your Jeep? If the ride is rough, lower the psi or add weight to the rear.

Could be I’ve never heard of issues because I’ve never had any myself with 400k miles and 3 different Fords. The highest mileage one being 270k miles with zero issues.
My only issue is when my buddy ran out of gas it was a bitch to re-fuel his F150 with a government gas can. Had to jam a flat head screwdriver in the flap to hold it open while pouring gas because we didn't have a funnel to jam in there.

But if your gas gauge works and you don't run the truck out of gas - yea I don't imagine it's a big deal.

Much like I don't see removing the gas cap as a big deal - but I have never owned a capless vehicle, so don't miss what I haven't had I guess.

Yea. This probably could have been researched better 😄

Just giving you a hard time.

I really like the Ram trucks. It's been several years since I test drove one, but the one I drove is now what would be the 'Ram Classic'. I guess a 2016 model or so. Had the coil spring rear end. It was the most comfortable riding half ton truck I have ever drove.

If I was getting out of my Gladiator tomorrow, I'd be visiting the Ram dealer first as I am interested in a Hemi and then the Ford dealer at I also like the STX trim in the F150 - and the 2.7L turbski motor is solid.

Tbh I thought we did do a good amount of research, but I think fatigue got the better of me and missed a bunch of stuff and well, after a week, just not a fan. Loved my 2015 Hemi Ram 1500. I test the I6 twin turbo hurricane SO and it drove great. I really should have just waited. The ram was priced out of my range, and the a week later it’s discounted in my range fml

Nothing wrong with not liking the Gladiator.

I have people come to me on occasion asking me about mine, or Wranglers, and tell me how they want one. I tell them hold on now - I need to explain some things to you or else you'll be back at the dealer in a month 😄

They're weird vehicles, and people love them, or they hate them.

I love to hate mine 😂

The Hurricane is intriguing but I'm just a little apprehensive about some things on it. I might grow to it after it's been out a little bit.

Getting a bigger truck isn't going to make your mpg concerns any better, just worse. Comfort will be better (subjectively), and you're getting a more expensive vehicle so remember that when it's time for routine maintenance or repairs.

Just remember you're comparing a mid-size to a full-size truck, they NEVER handle the same, maybe close but not. Also unless you can get a great discount on the RAM you're going to be spending the same if not more, but it sounds like you aren't too concerned about that if you get what you want.

Go test drive the Sport S with all the features you want, then drive a Mojave (for reference about "better ride" when you use a different suspension), then drive the RAM with the features you want. That should solidify your decision.

My wife's Bronco Sport has the capless system and a funnel included in the vehicle for refilling from a tank.

Nice to know they thought of that.

My buddies truck has 365K miles on it.

If there is a funnel in it somewhere - it's probably long gone 😂

Or he didn't even know about it. When he gets back to work I'll have to ask him to look for one. Google says it's with the spare tire tools, lol.

Bigger trucks do not always get worse MPG and they're not always more expensive.

I have a 2020 F150 and a 2021 Gladiator that I bought both new. They cost the same and the V8 F150 gets better MPG. The oil changes are cheaper on the F150 that uses semi synthetic vs the Gladiator that uses full synthetic.

The MPG in a Gladiator is so terrible, I'm pretty confident he'd land about the same in a Ram.

I personally find fullsize trucks to be more comfortable. Simply more space, less confinement - and room to put my stuff, which I factor as comfort since when I run out of space it means it's in my way 😂

The Hurricane takes a few more quarts of oil, but if you are shopping for a brand new truck I don't think $20 more in oil per oil change is breaking the bank.
