I feel this shouldn’t command a much higher MSRP than a Rubicon. You’re losing front locker, 4:1 XFER case, and the sway bar discos... Gaining .5 inch diameter in the shocks, reservoirs, hydro stops, a bit of programming and a little reinforcement in the rear. A wash IMO, but my bet is $990 more than a Rubi.

The orange accents with the Punk'n looks epic! I need this in my life!
It really does look amazing in person. The grey dash with orange accents was pretty cool, too.

I'm not an orange kind of guy, but that does look good with all the accents. The only thing I'm not liking the looks on is the silver skid plate. They should have done that in black.

This article fails to mention other trims at all. All Gladiators have the Gen 3 Dana 44s with 10mm thicker tubes. Rubicon, Mojave and Sports with Max Tow package are wide track that are 1.5 inches wider than Overland and Sports without Max Tow.
The article also says 3.73 gearing is optional on Rubicon, which is not true at this time. When the ecodiesel is released it will have 3.73 on all trims but it’s not available on the Gladiator yet. So I’d take anything said in the rest of the article with a grain of salt.

Photo 6/67 | To survive repeated bashing and impacts that are invariably part of desert prerunning, the Jeep Gladiator Mojave package necessitated an increase in axletube thickness for the 3rd Generation Dana 44 axle to 10mm, which trickled up to the Rubicon package. While both Mojave and Rubicon packages benefit from Mojave's heavier housing, the Rubicon package utilizes lighter aluminum steering knuckles while Mojave's steering knuckles are cast iron to absorb the brutal punishment associated with high-speed desert use.

When we at SEMA I talked to a engineer in front of the j6 he said the Rubicon axes were beefed up on the Gladiators.

I read it. What it didn’t say was those axles were added to all trim levels, which they were.

I'm curious to see if the Mojave can still ford 30" of water or if the sand and dust protection reduces it.
I did not pick up on anything in that article that mentioned additional sand and dust protection. Which part makes you think it would not be able to ford 30" of water?

Would a rubicon front bumper fit on the mojave edition?
Don't know. I think it would fit, but, it will not tie into the skid plate like on the Rubicon. That silver skid plate on the Mojave is different. The other issue is the red hooks vs. the orange hooks. The Rubicon steel bumper comes with the red hooks, so, it will not look right unless you change the hooks also. Winches do not seem to be a priority with the Mojave. Not many places to hook up a winch in the desert unless you carry an anchor. MaxTrax for the desert I guess, keep that front end light for the desert running.
