I don't think I understand this Jeep and everyone's fascination with it. Unless heavily modified, a Jeep is not and never will be a higher-speed desert runner in the true sense of the term. Maybe this Mojave/Mohave version does better at higher speed but "higher speed" is all relative.

I'm biased of course because I own a Raptor and I know how much fun it is to run at higher speeds across the desert and through the washes. Even if someone spends a pile of money a Jeep's not going to be THAT vehicle for a number of reasons.

If I had to do it over again I'd buy my Gladiator Rubicon and modify it just the way I've done it. It'll do everything that I need it to do and more. These are highly capable off road vehicles that can do far more than most drivers can or want to.

Seriously - if you love the Mojave you can modify the looks (and get a hood decal to match) and suspension (and even reinforce the frame if you feel the need) of your Gladiator for less than flipping yours and buying a Mohave. And next year Jeep will have an even "better" Gladiator :headbang::headbang::headbang:

So does it look possible to put the sway bar disconnect on it?

Said somewhere it was just an open carrier ... IMO they should have installed something like a true trac front and rear. Tuned the traction control to keep power and supplement the LSD ... but that’s just me. Dual LSD rig it pretty goon on everything BUT rocks pretty much, even on rocks, a little brake pressure makes a big difference (same can be said for open I guess)

I like all the reinforcements and heavier duty nature of this Mojave, but:
  • Because they will be produced in a smaller quantity and there are so many differences (backspacing, suspension) most likely all the aftermarket products for the other trims won’t work or make sense or manufacturers won’t want to invest in one off designs, and the first thing I would want is 37” tires at least, which would be a challenge.
  • I don’t like to have to choose between a Rubicon and a Mojave. I like Rubicons (had two) for the additional front lockers and low gear ratio, but like the Mojave for all the reinforcements.
Anyways, I’m not getting either until they get half doors. Sorry for sounding like a broken record. Jeep you’re investing in the wrong things. Jeep must have invested so much in this Mojave. All some of us want is more of that open air experience... much cheaper, hopefully for a higher return.

The 100% Jeep 100% Truck is decent at everything, master at none. It can be modified like you said, to make it more specifically purposed, but it will never be as good as something built for one purpose, either jeep or truck. My take ist that for the average person who wants to run some trails through the desert this Mojave does the trick and it will raise some eyebrows on the dunes with it's good performance compar-o in the mix of several vehicle types - bikes rails quads etc - advantage is you don't have to tow it to the desert and you vacuum cleaner and spraywash it and its good for driving to work the next day. The badge deal is just superb niche marketing. All the packages make it at home at high altitude, desert. Watch, there will be a beach comber package soon enough. It's growing on me like Jeeps do. Kinda cool. Pretty Badass. Nice. I won't pay FCA stupid high price, but I'm in the used market in a couple years. Fwiw.:tumbleweed::rain::jk:

The fender liner issue was a in sequence corrected change to current JT production months ago. I would imagine that change would carry over to the any new Mojave models.

I haven't had problems with the ones on my Rubicon yet , they just don't feel desert rated.

That's what I got from it as well and regular travel is how far forward on how they calculate the RTI score... I am no expert but that is what I learned ,but maybe someone else can chime in if that is incorrect.
I actually learned a lot from this guy's YT channel. I have no affiliation to that channel and even though the channel name is TinHatRanch, he is quite knowledgeable LOL. Even though it is for bugout a lot of that information can be applied to overlanding too. For anyone to know more about the various terminologies for a 4x4 I found this to be pretty informative:
