Joined the Gladiator cracked window club

It only took 8 months, but finally getting it replaced next week. Good news, after i filled the crack with some of the cheap RainX "repair" it didn't spread on me while I was waiting. Have some on hand for any future cracks.

On;y had 550 miles on the clock and not even 1 month old! Saw the rock get kicked up by a fellow Jeeper. Caught it on video via my dash cam!

Joined the club today. 13,000 miles and finally had my first crack due to a rock flying of a flatbed hauling construction equipment.

Thank God I have a policy with free glass replacement. Safe-lite guy said that jeeps keep him in business and that he would see me again soon. Lol.

Sorta. Still haven't had the windshield replaced from the first crack a month or so ago, and took a second hit last week. Heard it, didn't see anything, breathed a sigh of relief. Then got home, and saw it's right in front of the rear view mirror.
Sigh. It's due for inspection in April, so trying to hold off until then so it doesn't happen again before I get the sticker.

I finally lost an HGP windshield, but it took a sharp pointed rock the size of a golf ball with me going 78MPH. I probably had a dozen or so rocks ping off without any damage.

HGP needed a few pictures of the damage, confirmed my purchase date, and sent out a replacement windshield. They definitely stood behind their impact damage warranty.

Am on second windshield with multiple hits. I keep a glass repair kit under the seat and if possible do a repair as soon as possible to stop the spread. So far it has worked

Gorilla glass has now outlasted my previous two windshields combined. Had a few hits no cracks.

Checking back in. How has the glass held up over a longer time? It is one thing to replace an inexpensive windshield once a year or so, but if the Gorilla is still be replaced every two years or so, you end up in the same place for the same cost.

Traded the Gladiator in November. No issues up to that point though

800 miles on the clock. Just finished a 650 mile trip to the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas. Pulling off the freeway 5 minutes from home WHACK.

So are Jeep windshields just trash?

im on my 6th windsheild and second windsheild frame..... yeah the frame was before my first payment. a 2" rock off a truck hit the frame and they couldnt straighten it enough to get the dent out. anyone else in the windshield frame club as well

Could you please elaborate on what kind of glass repair kit you have and how it works? I've not used anything like this.
