I figured that like the JL, the spare could be used in a 5 tire rotation. Guess not, seeing as there's a steel spare. I wheel just enough to worry about beating up the rim, but the one under there looks fine so far. If I wanted one Willys wheel and TPMS sensor, would it be worth it? And where would you look? Thanks in advance.

Expensive through Mopar direct, definitely look for someone selling some used. I realized the same thing when I put 33s on my Willys.

There is a lot of Jeep stuff on Facebook market place. That is where I found my wheels and tires. Bunch of take off's.

Like Wetwilly, I bought a used/reconditioned Rubicon wheel to match the other 4, plus a TPMS sensor from Mopar, so I now have a 5 wheel rotation. If anybody would like the steel original spare that came with my 2020 Rubicon, let me know. It’s yours for the price of shipping or free if you pick it up from Damascus, MD.

I just found a Mohave wheel on eBay and purchased a sensor from Mopar Parts Online. Total was just over $200.

You can probably sell your non matched spare to help fund a matching one. People seem to like to run a full set of the steelies for the aesthetic. I’ve been told they don’t have TPMS installed but can’t say for sure

To me, the math is a wash or a slight negative to buy a replacement wheel, tpms sensor and have everything installed for just a 20% gain in extra tread life. Couple your time spent raising and lower it from under the vehicle and the added potential of road debris damage on the matching wheel makes it less attractive to me on doing a 5 tire rotation.

Even in the truck world with the other makes and a bottom stowed spare, matching 5 tire/wheel rotations are practically unheard of.

I bought an overland wheel cheap from a member here. You can find wheels cheap out there because so many swap wheels shortly after buying their Jeep.

There's more to having a matching wheel and tire than the life of the tire. I've talked of this several times here. Twice we've had tires punctured and shops balked at repair because the hole was near the edge. With a matching spare, we simply put the spare on and went on our way - the tire was repaired and kept as a spare.
We've had other similar situations.
Maybe you can't buy a matching tire if one is damaged, and when you have to use the spare, it will be worn like the others so no issues with LSD, lockers and o on.
It's not always all about tires lasting longer with 5 tire rotations.
We always try to have matching spares and it's paid off multiple times.
I'll never do it any other way.

Oh, and if you do your own rotations - there's a plus there, too - you only have to raise one corner of the truck at a time! Simple, one jack process. No need to have 2 wheels off at a time and have a side or end off the ground. It's actually a fast way to do rotations, too, with less equipment and a single jack.
You will be forced to be sure that your spare is always good and aired up - how many people check their spare tires to see they are still inflated and ready to go - have a flat in the boonies, and no compressor - only to find your spare is too low to use because no one checks a spare every so often?
I have RWL tires and so far, they're still looking good. The wheels look fine (even after Iowa winters)

I didn't have a lick of trouble getting rid of my original spare - took maybe a day. Guys like to run those steel wheels. I traded it for some Jeep stuff.

I picked up a matching rim and TPMS for my Mojave and do a 5 wheel rotation. My thought is when these 33’s are worn out I’m going to up size and I want 5 matching tires. If I did a 4 wheel rotation I would toss the unused spare because I don’t want to carry a 33 spare if I’m running say a 35 or 37. It is nice to have everything consistent, just makes things a little simpler. If you bought the same oem tire every time you bought tires then sure, keep it like it is and do a 4 wheel rotation.
