Finally got around to applying the Eastwood self leveling seam sealer. The shit is messy if you ain't careful. I cleaned the area with q-tips and alcohol. That channel is deep. I made my corner dams from modeling clay. To open the tube. You have to remove the plug in the end with pliers. Screw the mixing end on. Take lots of paper towels with you to wipe up. Start on one end and work across, then go in the opposite direction. I made 3 passes, slowly squeezing the cocking gun. You better have the JT level as possible. Because it will find the low corner. If you get any on the glass. You can use a razor blade to remove it. Now I have to wait for it to set up before I remove the dams. Which will be later this evening.

Awesome work! Wonder if you could get a photo of how it looks in the channel when you pull the damn out?

For me for now, I have used some of that rubber tubing that guys here have been using. Looks very amateur, and is temporary, but kept the rain out when I left her out in some heavy rains last week.

Thanks for posting your update, very much appreciated!

forgive me if you have already noted it, but did you ever try the silicone tubing? I have it out in the heat now getting ready to install it, but don’t wanna waste the time if it doesn’t work.

I tried the tubing trick. I had a hard time keeping it in place when I was installing it.

Mine looks great and still works great, and it's been 4 years for me.

Take a look at Post #2 in this thread for tips in making the installation look good.

I have the silicone hose in now for 3 years and it blends into my black roof perfectly. Yes, it is a pain to get in even all the way around and took me a half dozen tries figuring out exactly how far I could push it in without it dropping into the crevice but once you get it right it will blend in perfectly.

Thank you. I did see how it was done and did it slightly differently. I found I needed to feel it with my fingers as it went in, otherwise it would push in too far.

It's ugly, but it keeps the water out.

I found that if I tried to use my fingers the hose depth wasn't consistent and it looked like cr@p. That is why I had to come up with an installation tool.

It's comical to me that after all these years Jeep has not done a damn thing to address this issue
Guess they figured they don't need to worry about it since we're all shoving tubing into the back window

I did mine 2.5 years ago. Still no issues.
