You’re 100% right. The V8 is not being “phased-out because of better smaller engines”... Its being forced-out by the goddamn government & EPA.You can hate the EPA all you want, schedule public hanging for members of CARB and bitch about how it's gotta be a V8 or you'll walk but the reality is they make the rules and little can be done to change that. The rules are what is killing the V8 because of emissions, weight and packaging restrictions.
Think back to the SVO mustang, that boosted 4 was in reality faster than the 5 liter despite lacking the tire melting torque and rumble but gaining lighter curb weight, better handling and much improved balance. And it made the same ~200hp as the 5.0 FI off half as much displacement.
But hey, it's your totem of masculinity, who am I to question.
Base model Jeep finger pointer?
Alabama...It is, and that disconnected thinking is why men and manliness has become frowned-upon in this modern pussified anti-male society full of man-hating feminists and eunuchs.
And yes, I’ve cussed Ford ever since for putting that motor in that iconic car, and cresting that man-purse wearing abomination. That iconic car always had a 5.0L N/A V8 engine. And it should have remained that way.
We’re not all uneducated rednecks. The stats are skewed strongly because of several reasons that I won’t get into on here. So we’ll leave that alone.Alabama ranks 50th out of 50 for education overall, 47 out of 50 for higher education, 49 out of 50 for primary education, 49 out of 50 for overall quality of life, 46 out of 50 for healthcare, 45 out of 50 for strength of economy, 45 out of 50 for crime per capita.
You don't require emissions? Big whoop. The tradeoff sounds horrible.
And mind you I live in a left wing liberal commie hell hole but shit man... someones always gotta be last but why is it always you?
By that, do you mean there are no emission inspections? Same here in Florida, but the manufacturers of the cars sold here still have to follow EPA standards.I live in Alabama...We don’t follow/require Fed emissions laws in this state. So while the rest of the country is getting bent over and raw-dogged by the EPA, we aren’t here.![]()
I like to build mine to my likens that's all that way I can't complain about about factory installed options. This was a base model as well when I bought itBase model Jeep finger pointer?
Yes, no emissions inspections and our state law on exhaust only says “illegal exhsust”. It can be up to the officer or court as to what constitutes an “illegal exhsust” configuration.By that, do you mean there are no emission inspections? I'm no GT40 expert, but I don't remember a single one having a "5.0L N/A V8", nor the Ford GT. Still unsure how manhood is affected by cylinder count, but the 660 Horsepower output of the 3.5L HO 6 Cylinder in the current GT is impressive. It is, and that disconnected thinking is why men and manliness has become frowned-upon in this modern pussified anti-male society full of man-hating feminists and eunuchs.

Dude, don't even bother, it's a waste of time with him. In every thread, if it's not a knuckle-dragging big block V8, it means it comes with a free purse for your balls. The dude is completely disconnected from modern technology.I'm no GT40 expert, but I don't remember a single one having a "5.0L N/A V8", nor the Ford GT. The MK1 had a 7L DFV while the MK2 had a 4.9L DFV derived from the stock mustang V8 but not a 302. Alloy everything, alloy everything else, twin cam, 4 valve, twin quads. On par with comparing an L88 chevrolet engine to any other stock chevrolet engine from the period.I'm no GT40 expert, but I don't remember a single one having a "5.0L N/A V8", nor the Ford GT. I thought the MKI had a 289 and the MKII is when they went to the 427?? Also, you wouldn't refer to an L88 when discussing a 350...The MK1 had a 7L DFV while the MK2 had a 4.9L DFV derived from the stock mustang V8 but not a 302.
