I'm looking for new 37" tires. Either 12.5 or 13.5 MT tread, D rated mostly Will take an E rated. The Eldorado Extreme Mud Claws I got from Walmart are about shot in 10,000 miles. They have great traction, but are shit for wear. So...what are some of your opinions?

I’m sold on Mickey Thomson Baja Boss. I know you mentioned MT’s, which I’m sure are amazing, but I’m on my second set of the A/T’s for a reason. They’re amazing off road on extreme terrain, are quiet, and wear well.

I just went the other way myself, went from Toyo RT's that started wearing odd and had gotten LOUD, now on BFG KO2 AT's and the quietness is AWESOME.

Here comes all the mickey thompson baja boss fan boys.

I'm one of them
When I bought the first set in December of 21, the shop that mounted them had never seen them. Now they’re everywhere. Many of my wheeling friends have them in various sizes. A friend even put them on his Cummins ram recently. They’re just good.

Ran open country r/t for almost 45k miles. Got a bit rough and loud towards the end. Great tires. Pretty aggressive looking too. But my vote is Baja Boss A/T. They look more like MTs than AT. Smooth quiet ride on the road (at 5k miles) and great traction offroad. Let's see if I can get 40k miles out of them.

When I ran MT's the Toyo's were my favourite. I think if you go with any of the higher end well known tires you will be doing alright. Tire prefence is like paint colour preference, we all like what we like. I won't knock the Mickey's that everybody loves becase at one time I ran the Cooper ST Maxx and found the hybrid tires to be great. That was basically how I moved to from MT to AT eventually.

I was close to getting 40k on my first set. I will this time for sure. I ran them at higher pressure than I should have for a short time. I still got over 35k out of them.

As much as I love my MT Baja Boss ATs, next time I need tires, hopefully not for at least 2 years, I'll seriously consider the Milestar Patagonia M/T-02.

My wife loves her MT02s, great traction and the tread wear has held up great although she doesn’t drive very far on them. She had over 60% remaining after 25k miles, I’m sure 40k would have been a walk in the park with the new compound. I myself drive too much so I opted for RT Trails. If I get 40k plus that’s tires every 2 years for me.

Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT have been great for me. Very quiet on the highway, have not been through a winter yet but they are three peak.

Nexen Roadian MTX. Great MT tire and much friendlier prices comparatively. Amazing traction, quiet, and wear. We’ve tested tires from many manufacturers and this one excels. Can’t be beat, and the lower price point is a bonus.
