As for ECM's. I am contemplating giving Holley a call. And Automotive Z a call. If I can get the security protocol figured out. Maybe these kits could just come with a Holley ECM. If HP Tuners wants to step in the ring they could help me with VIN rewrite and older ECMs, and I could make a retrofit kit with the older controller.

I like the Holley version because the throttle will be more stable, and modifications like axles and stuff won't throw torque management and airflow models off.

Big ideas, still a night gig, and I am a full time dad and husband
Shit yeah man I like the way you think.

Trust me I understand the family, work and hobby balance. Either way we're all appreciative of your knowledge and ability to make it happen.

Either way, I'll be all ears here.

I knew buying a '23MY there would be no "current" support for the OS. But I just couldn't bring myself to buy something used that cost more then one that was brand new........if that makes sense.

All of the good used Mojave's I looked at were 57-65k (used)......so I ordered a new '23 Mojave for 52k out the door. Plus with new, better interest rate and complete warranty.

No shame in that game. I have has some serious stress with this jeep being a DD. When it goes down or I mess something up, it is a scramble to get kids dropped off, go to work and run errands. I had a half finished race car running the kids to school in January!!!!

IMHO the 3.6 in the JT is risky to tune. The older 3.6 was heavier and the new one is lighter and trimmed down. Feel like it is a way to just accelerate the demise. Rather engine swap if you want more power.

btw @DAVECS2 I have read your other posts and think what you do is awesome... for us it is just too risky on the 3.6, which if it is left as is seems fairly good.

There are many ways to slice it. If everything is put together correctly. The newer 3.6L does very well with forced induction. The bottom end is just fine, if everything is working correctly.

The controls get over zealous with torque reduction, and can hang injectors, that is further made worse by the cams not being where they are suppose to be, when they are suppose to be. If you get knock, misfire, too much airflow, the system turns the injectors up to kill, and the GM injectors in these kits hang open, or worse yet the system turn it up, realizes it is hung open and turns the injector off.

I have been working to ensure things get no where close to these points, but it can still happen with wrong gear and tire put in, or vacuum leak, or just an operating system that has not been seen yet. Currently looking at 7 different fi tunes for known os.

If someone's gonna do it right it is you! And then who knows I might take the jump also...

If this ends up coming with a warranty I'd drop this in. I was considering the mag but I wanted your tune which would end up voiding all my warranties so I kind of stopped looking at it.

So if I'm getting this right from reading this all... It's a SC that's sized more appropriate for the engine, and using tuning to get the performance than just raw air into the engine?

Well I may be coming to the conclusion I am not a hardcore offroader. Driving around on 1 tons with 42" tires, for a daily is a bit much. It may be bearable, but then there is the 5 point harness cage and window tint (or should I say block).

My daughter made me spit out my pop when she honestly said, he ruined this jeep putting to much crap on it..... lol

At any rate it is coming around. Boy howdy this is a loud unit.

Well I am never one to shy away from the truth.

Yes the engine expired. I finished the truck and was using it as a daily and was getting the driveability nailed down on the tune. I drove it to work, took my kids to sporting events, to the family out to dinner.

With the Sprintex, I had to create a new tune from scratch as the boost curve was much different. I ran things conservatively as this vehicle presents a big load just driving down the road.

After seven days I was pretty positive I had the bugs ironed out and I returned the jeep to the shop. I was so confident I threw the keys to the shop owner and said let's go for a spin, even told him his wife could go for a ride.

As we got out on the highway the truck shifted to 4th and that was it. No warnings no jerkiness, all the data looked good. All the equipment I had hooked to the truck did not catch whatever happened.

We brought truck back to the shop and I apologized to the shop owner, for failing him, and disappointing his customer, and told him I will do what it takes to make it right, and I am. I Also called Sprintex and told them what happened, and apologized for not getting it right.

I have over 300 hours in this vehicle, and a bit of money in equipment and consumables, and now I will have more time and money into making the shop and customer whole again. Sprintex has been very supportive and is working with me on finding an engine.

I was also curious as to how this happened, so in a move that in hindsight was not very smart. I put this tune on my truck to try and sort out what happened, as I wanted to have answers and support everyone

Well truck was driving great. Went to do some errands yesterday, and now my truck is down, same type of failure. Whatever it is, it is fast and brutal, with no warning

Long story longer. The shop and Sprintex are not to blame. The fault rests solely on me, and I am very sorry for what has taken place. I was very confident I could figure this out, now I am not. It will be a bit of a burden to make it right, but all I can do is dig in and start doing so.

At this point I am not sure what my plans are going forward. I have 1000s of hours on my original tunes. I have dyno time, and lots of study. I will still work with those who have purchased them. I am pretty sure I will not stray from that formula anymore. At the moment I am pretty sure I am done tuning this platform as it his taken a fair bit of time and money, and I do not have much to show for it.

Not sure who this poster is, but hey the internet is great for making sure your closet is clean.

Also just to be clear. My choice not to post was to steer clear of any misunderstanding or negativity for the shop and Sprintex.
