I would hope those have been pulled and regardless of what's been ordered, the correct part comes in. That's how it used to work - when there was a TSB and there was a part to replace another, no matter what you ordered, you got the current part. Originals were pulled. Dealers were to send them back.
At least that's the old days. (it's reflected in the 6 parts books I have from the 60s and 70s - I'd hope they'd not go backwards these days! It was paper back then, sloooow to get word out.)

In any case, a customer could call, make SURE it's the new part - identified as being BLACK and cast steel and not aluminum if nothing else.
This is FCA you’re talking about.

For instance, on the FCA Jeep Canada Customer Care phone message they say specifically that a diagnosis is required from a dealer.
In the same way people have negative experiences and service departments who don’t follow what’s “required”, I’m thankful that my dealership in Canada didn’t follow what FCA Canada wanted them to do and diagnose my Gladiator first as having a wandering issue. That is redundant and a waste of my time. Glad to know that managers can make that call in a positive way and not be bound by what FCA requires them to do in Canada because to deal with both dealerships who don’t believe you, AND require a diagnosis would suck.

I don't think mine has steering issues. Wondering if I should take it in and try to get new box just for the hell of it? Maybe it does and I just don't know any better.
I’m pondering this question as well.

I took my JT in to the dealer yesterday, so they can diagnose/repair today. I got a call from my service advisor today and said that my description of the symptoms were spot on (wandering, excessive steering wheel play/slop, and pull to the right). They will replace the steering box and bolts, per the TSB. The steering box will be overnighted from LA (just up the coast from here), but the bolts will take a couple days from the mid-west. Silly that the bolts aren't kitted with the steering box. He confirmed that the repair is under warranty. Because they haven't done many of these, it helped that I brought in a printed copy of the TSB, with detailed description of the symptoms and things I've checked.

I also entered a complaint at the NHTSA website https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/

I encourage others to do the same.

I just caleld the service guy at my dealership & wanted to ask before driving in (its 2 towns over) because I have the synergy brace. I just told him that I hear there is a fix for the steering & when I told him its wandering he said "isnt there a bulletin for that" I said yeah & he put me on hold to call the parts guy. He couldn't reach him, but it sounds like they are going to not throw a fit for brace, not make me bring it in to check out beforehand & just charge me an hours labor with the brace on there. Sounded like they would remove & reinstall it.

This is the FIRST time I have ever called the dealership service dept on any car (never bought a new car before the JT) and I am so far pleasantly surprised. Feels a bit wrong asking for something to be fixed for free.. I have always bought 10k cars & trucks & just drove them into the ground & moved on.

Which Socal dealer have you guys done this at already? I was waiting this out so others with more severe issues can get it done first, but now my car pulls too much to the right.

Mine is still in progress, but I took mine to Kearny Mesa CDJR. So far, they have been really great.

Now there's a question - does this issue impact only LHD vehicles, or RHD as well? The Aussies drive on the wrong side of the road.
The TSB specifically says “North American” vehicles
TSB Notes that it applies to:
North America
APAC - Asia pacific region
LATAM- Latin America
EMEA- Europe Middle East Africa

Dropped mine off at All-American CJD in San Angelo for this TSB. I'll report back here once I get my Mojave back.

New steering box installed, dealer kept it overnight and all seems better but need more seat time.
The real interesting thing for me was that my almost bone stock suspension was called out as being highly modified . We have only a track bar sector shaft brace and a falcon steering stabilizer. My dealers was super great and reinstalled all my heavy mods when they did the work.

First dealer I went to refused.

Second dealer was very helpful. BUT had to make an appointment and take it in. Waiting for parts.

It ain't over until it's over. ;)
