Does anyone know why the message "No Gun Talk" is posted on some threads?
Is this a forum rule of some kind?
Is this a closet liberal/woke website?

I think the subject of guns or something involving guns would be welcome company to Jeeping? Am I wrong?

If I had to guess... The topic of guns ALWAYS ends up into arguments, pissing matches, can be disrespectful and ultimately... turns political. Depending on the topic .... it can totally derail discussions from the original topic. It's more work for the forum volunteers to clean up and/or delete hostile and disrespectful content.

You are free to discuss guns in the appropriate areas.... however, NO politics.
Here's a nice thread for it.

I guess that makes sense.
I don't want to discuss the gun topic per se, just wondered why it was forbidden. I've had my fill of that woke/DEI nonsense, and I suppose if this turned out to be a place that embraced it, I'd be off to greener pastures...

Hundreds of gun forums this is a Jeep forum IMO no crossover needed. Yes I carry and have a safe full.

I have a Canik Rival S and the Rival Polymer (5"barrels). The Polymer has Holosun Optic, Rune Tactical 15lb recoil spring, M74 Tungsten guide rod, and Rune Tactical striker spring. Alien Tactical thumb rest.
The Rival S has the Canik blue recoil spring. 😉

Never tried the Elite combat... We also have an MC9.

The picture post above was for comical purposes but in all honesty I’ve been on gun forums in the past. They got to be unenjoyable, in my opinion. Too many “you gotta have this gun or you’re not a shooter” types. I find the atmosphere here on a Jeep forum way more congruent to good conversation I can enjoy.

My wife has a Canik color matched to her Jeep.

Hows that for crossover?

Holy tamole!
A bit "Brite" there... ;-)
Definitely would not be lost in the crowd!

Heck, I'll talk about guns for a bit...
I carried a Glock 19 on a couple of tours in Iraq and got to liking it. Have sent thousands of rounds downrange from what grew to a collection of Glocks with two G-19s. I gave my son a new G-19 MOS the day he graduated from Ranger school. (They carry them in regiment).
But,
Recently, I picked up a Ruger RXM. I dropped a Triticon RMR on it. Wow is all I can say. With that gun, I put the first 100 rounds through the "Bullseye" of a target. Just sayin' I think Bill Ruger has something with this gun.

Gun people can be insufferable. My family owns a gun store, grew up there lol.

I always ask the gun snobs which brand they want to get shot in the sack with.

Like all hobbies, if you enjoy shooting, you should indulge to your ability. No need to get a third mortgage, sell a kidney, or sperm to impress strangers online.
