Noticed I have "unmatched" front fenders. Is it because of the Jeep quality control?

These two images are front passenger fenders. What is that weird stuff? It doesn't look like it hit something or they were melted by something. I checked the driver's side (3rd image), and it was in perfect shape.

Does anyone know? Did it come like this from factory?

Factory f-up if it has been there since new. Get it replaced under warranty.

What's going on above the light on that side? Is it a bad photo angle or is the fender messed up there, too?

Looks like minor manufacturing artifacts to me.
I'm anal, but that wouldn't bother me.
And I doubt you'll get the dealer to replace it.

I am not sure if someone hit it or whatever accidentally touched it.

How long have you had the truck? If you don't bring it to their attention right after purchase, they won't take any responsibility for it. You would probably have better luck getting your auto insurance to cover it.

Have had it for 3-4 months. I don't think they would take care of it since it's so minor. Should I call my insurance? Idk but it wouldn't bother me that much.

It depends on how much your deductible is.

It's minor enough I wouldn't bother with it.

People Work?
Second pic looks like from contact.
First one maybe a hot tailpipe from another vehicle.
You're not one of those people let others crawl your tires for photo ops, are you?

Mine are perfectly matched and fine.

If you file a claim, you’ll end up paying 10x the cost of that fender over the next years after they raise your rates.

Indeed! As well, your "Carfax" or whatever flavor vehicle history report will show a claim against it. It's silly how it shows up. If it were me, I wouldn't even pick up the phone to insurance.

IMHO, that is one of those things that could fall on either side of bad QC or damage after the fact.

If me, I would still make the warranty claim and see what the dealership says. If they denied it, I would live with it.
