Now that made me laugh reminded me of my 3rd grade teacher (Mrs. Delaney) she loved making people write on the chalk board.
Especially I will listen in class and raise my hand if I have a question were her 2 favorites. 🤣🤭
I did a lot of writing in grade school . "I will not talk in class." I didn’t really even talk much, but my penmanship sucked so bad that the teacher had to find an excuse to get me to practice.

Probably the first time anyone has mentioned the timing chains being different. The changes to the phasers and chains result in much less wear (and requires a different set of phaser locks for service). I have been into only two bottom ends on the PUG, it has never had any problems that were caused by the oiling system design or oil viscosity.

Here's one of my problems - Patrick lays it out quite well.

I was also sent to the school psychologist who determined I was just plain bored.
Luckily, my son and grandson had teachers who recognized it and put them in advanced classes where things went faster for them.

My 4th grade teacher had eyes in the back of her head - she'd be writing on the chalkboard and next thing I know, an eraser went buzzing by my ear at 100 mph.
But she was also one of those who taught different pupils differently.

So true. Wife is a Special Ed PhD. Words matter! She is still preaching that today. The teacher needed a lesson, from that video.

My fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Davis, had a very long sentence, "I will not talk in class when the teacher is talking because it is rude." , that she sentenced the entire class to write 1,000 times. I refused, I was used to being paddled almost daily, and couldn't see any point to writing that sentence 1,000 times. After I wrote it 11 times, I decided I was done, just bring the paddle and get on with it.

When I was in school, you could only opt in to corporal punishment so many times in a school year before you got automatically suspended no matter what. Had to pick my battles as the ass beating/grounding/extra chores I would get at home if I was suspended would be Biblical.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think there is a school of thought that believes that Euro oils (and most 0w-40s have the moniker of Euro spec) can damage our American catalytic converters. If I switch to 0W-40 at a later time, Pennzoil Ultra platinum SRT approved 0w-40 would be my first choice.

Think that is kind of old school thinking. Last few API spec revisions have reduced zinc levels considerably to make that a non issue today.

In one of the many threads on the 3.6, there are pics of a rocker (IIRC it was a rocker) with a nick in it, and a lasher still in the bag, with a piece of cardboard, thought to be a desiccant (rust prevention?). And there are some, hopefully truthful, posts claiming of engines at +100k mi. with oil change intervals of around 10k mi.

If my JT gets the tick of death, I'll blame the manufacturer of the component, not me using 0W20/5W30/0W40 or whatever. It still sucks for the owners.

Good luck!

When I was in school, ADHD hadn't been identified, it was called "just being a boy". The teachers were big fans of the ancient Greek proverb " A boy's ear is on his back, the more it is beaten, the better he hears." Fast forward several decades, and I'm still deaf (without my hearing aids).

Sorry but a bit of a "technical" Correction - it hadn't been "identified" and accepted in the US as real or a thing
It was correctly identified and described in a medical book back around 1880.
Canada and Australia blow the US away in their recognition and treatment of it.

In school, the psychologist correctly described me as being bored in school (I was at least 1 grade advanced - proven further in HS and college because I had all of my credits before I was a senior and skipped college math as I tested at that level already)
He also said one reason was IQ -
It was only later (years after my sons were diagnosed) I saw a TV show - Patrick McKenna and Rick Greene, talking about it. Their checklist, while funny (they are Canadian comedians, after-all), made me sit down and take notice.

US medicine really ticks me off in so many ways.

No problem, I should have said no one around these parts had ever heard of ADHD. Anyway, the teachers considered the cure to be making it painful to not pay attention. Just didn't work for me, if I was interested I mastered a subject. If I wasn't, no amount of paddling or other punishment was going to make a difference.

I plan to switch from 0w-20 to 0w-30 next oil change. This is my first Blackstone report from my latest oil change on 0w-20. It’s to establish a baseline. What’s y’all’s thought on the results? Thanks

your first change will actually be a mix of oil chemistries - so pretty much ignore any test results from the very first sample of a different oil unless you do a change, run it a bit and then change it again.

This is true. I should be getting my report back from Blackstone today and itā€˜s after a few oil changes with 5w-30 Penzoil Platinum. I’ll post it when I get it back for comparison. I believe I had just over 50K on the clock.
