Trailer 5k tonged weight @12%= -600
4 people; 125 per kid, wife 150 you 240= -640
Weight distribution hitch Anderson (one of the lightest) -65
Misc: tools? Wife purse? bag of clothes? extra water? Beer? propane bottle for rv? Bikes? -200
Lets not talk abought the bumpers, winches, Wheels and tires, cool doodads and farkles we alllll add to the jeeps.

Truck loaded -1505 pounds.


So options, Overland over loaded before you even start. Or a Max tow at it's limits and now you have to load smart.

This is the reason I'm trying to talk the wife into taking her Wrangler with the 2 kids while I tow a trailer.

Max Tow ALWAYS unless you want the EcoDiesel. The reasons are numerous.

Advertisement shows MAX PAYLOAD "1700" pounds that must be a Sport with Manual Transmission and Soft top and No other options.
For me I don't expect to tow anything...I would rather get the Hard top.... I suppose that subtracts "100" pounds on Max payload.
?? However age 60 is not to far away maybe I should say yes to the auto Transmission??
If I say yes to auto/Transmission, and never towing, just concerned with payload capacity...does the 4:10 axle make a big difference in the overall driving experience ?? Is it worth getting the max tow just for the 4:10 and the wider axle. On a Budget build??
Budget build "SPORT" "HARDTOP" "ENGINE BLOCK" heater, auxiliary switches and Rear limited slip axle and if possible off road tires from the factory ??

Follow up to the budget build test drove a willy's 2 weeks ago dealer had 2 gladiators on the lot 1 Willys 1 Rubicon both Fully Loaded "54-K" on the Willys too $$$$ and poor payload capacity. Salesman stated the dealerships only want to bring in fully loaded High $$$ jeeps for the limited inventory. Chip shortage causing havoc in the auto industry. Salesman advised me to decide which options are important to me do a build and price January 2022
