Well I got mine to work, I double checked the pins on body connection and 1 looked just slightly off, straightened it and it all works perfectly. Those pins really need to be more robust imho on a vehicle designed to take doors on and off and unplug that connection over and over

Glad you got it going. Agree on the plugs. I never owned a JK, did they have this issue?

I'm not sure, this is my 1st jeep and I take doors off as often as I can, guess I need to be more careful putting them back on

Add me to the troubleshooting list:

Installed all parts and only passenger side worked at first.

Took the passenger cap of the handle and put it on the driver side.

Now the driver side works.

Makes me believe that cap is the issue.

This is the one that works on both:

This is the one that seems not to work:

Any thoughts?

Glad at least driver works since that's used %99 of the time but not being complete annoys me more than anything lol

Check the magnet? I could of sworn that a bunch of these had the magnet backwards

I will google that, I knew that's how they worked but wasn't sure about disassembling it 🤔

I want to say that manufacture date is the one that had faulty caps. Not sure if it was in this thread or a different one

Not sure if this would help, but this is from page 7 of the installation instructions for the Mopar aux switch kit. For those having difficulty with getting a dealer to add the prox entry sales code, here’s what it says to have them do (for the upfitter switches anyway):

That appears to work if it was an option for that truck. I found that since auto high beam wasn't even an option for my truck in November, it can't be added to the VIN (they tried) but since the proximity locks were an option for my truck, they easily got it added to my VIN.
I had it all programmed and working already so it wasn't a big deal - I just wanted it in the VIN so that if my truck got an update/flash that hit the BCM or other areas, I'd not have to program it in again.
Auto high beams wasn't an option for Gladiator until at least December 2019 so it wasn't possible to get that added to the VIN. It works fine, I'll just have to put it back if they flash the modules containing those lines.

Just confirming if ordering non-kit:

Kit Contains:

LF Door Wiring - 68299333AG
RF Door Wiring - 68299332AG
Handles - 68307269AC (x2)
Handle Caps - 68307272AD (x2)

That's literally all I need other than the programming? I believe Mojave has all the needed stock stuff. 8.4 radio if that matters.

Only $308

That's what's I ordered, activated with Jscan also.

Yes, I also used jscan to enable.

These are the numbers I used when ordering all those months ago. Ignore the suffix letters - AC may turn to AD, AE may turn to AF. Don't worry about that part, just the number itself.

68299333AF - left Front Door Wiring harness

68307269AC - Exterior Door Handle (2)

68307272AD - Door Handle Cap (2)

68299332AE - right door wiring harness

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

With JScan you need to enable the passive entry,
turn on the UConnect passive entry setting,
and enable the appropriate antennas.

These are the changes, no matter which tool you use:

AP1 Left front > smart switch

AP2 right front > smart switch

Passive entry present > yes/ active

Passive entry CSM > yes/ active

Just to verify and some notes.

So I went to check if my 2021 Willy’s has the wiring. To open the plastic cover you pull straight back towards the seat. It has 2 clips. I pushed the red tab up towards the roof to unlock, pushed the tab under the white lever towards the wall the connector is sticker to, then flipped the white lever from the down position to the up position. That lever actually pushes and pulls the plug.

I first looked at the plug stuck to the door (that was wrong… the door harness has no pins because it has no keyless entry installed… duh. So after my brain figured that out…

stuck my camera under the connector stuck to the body of the body wall. (In the dark and cold) finally got a shot of the plug wires and pins.

I believe I see a green wire with a yellow tracer and another wire which I’m guessing has the white tracer.

I believe I see that I have the 2 pins (15 and 16) marked with red in the connector picture.

I then cranked my head around to look inside and under the dash. I think I see where you would plug in a Tazer mini. I can get my hand in there but I think I will order the extension cords to make plugging things back in for the dealer easier. (I have small Asian hands and even then it looks pretty tight… and my middle finger knuckles get stuck closed sometimes…trigger finger?)

Thanks for this helpful thread. Does this sound/look right?
