I used this one.

It’s very straight forward.

Are the dash wires there? Some sports don’t have the necessary dash wires.

Did you add the requisite door harnesses as well as the handles & caps?
Shut everything off, close the doors, and walk away for an hour.
It may take a bit for the Jeep to recognize the addition.
Also, do you see the option to configure the Passive Entry on the Uconnect screen?

OK, just to cover all the bases...
How are you trying to use it? What exactly are you doing to unlock and lock the doors?

I’m just trying to push the button on the handle to see if it will lock and it acts like I’m not pushing anything on it I have made sure that I have turned it on on the screen and I have turned it on through the tazer

Should the proximity handles have power on the two wires when tested with a test light or not

I can’t help but think something is wrong with his Jeep. David63 over on the JL Forum is having the same issue when nearly everyone else’s works. I think something is wrong in the can bus communication as David’s system seems to be talking to the different modules but the unlock command just isn’t getting through.

It would take someone with a scanner that can monitor the can bus to check it out.

The pins look a bit bent out of shape, Are you sure they are being inserted into the terminals on the door harness securely.

Yup, be willing to bet that the proximity lock isn't the only thing not working.
He just hasn't figured it out yet.

Heat up the green loktite!! I snapped off both window bolts yesterday when trying to tighten them. Was able to drill a hole into each while on the door so I could insert a screw removal tool—but they would not budge until I heated them with a soldering iron for about 3 minutes. Learn from my mistake.

Guys, FYI here

There has been confirmed reports of bad handle caps which have caused issues. If one side works but not the other we recommend swapping them first to verify. Based on customer feedback the magnets were installed in reverse, So far it seems to be a somewhat small batch.

Thanks,
- Benny
