The EB line has huge aftermarket hard-part and tuning support. The 2.7 is capable of 400 rwhp tune only. The 3.5 is capable of 500 rwhp tune only. It is likely safe to assume that the 3.0 will be in the middle. Any hope of Stellantis catching this on an ICE platform is pretty bleak. A tuned 3.5 with a few hard parts (warrantied by ford) runs mid 12s while the 392 runs high 12s so even if they were to scramble the 392 in the Gladiator in response, it would be too little given the ranger currently weighs 1,500 lbs less and the 392s compression isn't conducive to forced induction long term. A buddy has a 3.5 RCSB that just wont die, threw a slew of hard parts on it with a Stage 5 tune on corn. Has some 130k miles on the thing and still sends it. Beast. Like most EBs, this Ranger will likely support up to e30 off the lot and a cheap tune will take full advantage of that.

The tornado is promising but at this point I wouldn't blame the aftermarket for ignoring it and the black box nature of Stellantis ECM/PCM is a huge bottle-neck. I also wouldn't blame Jeep for not responding to this. They really have nothing in their ICE arsenal to offer which would feasibly land in at under 100k.

The ranger feels like a disposable toy though. I wouldn't buy one but cheers to ford for throwing a 3.0 TT in it. Perhaps Jeep will have a typhoon hybrid approach like Ford's powerboost but again, about 5 years late already on that. I love my Gladiator, LOVE it but boy do I wish they'd throw us some sort of option in the straight line performance department.

Stated/posted/etc. doesn't really matter because anyone buying the EB platform whose interested in performance will mail-order 100+ hp/tq via instantly. Suffice to say, don't line up with one.

The current 5G ranger can already make 400+ whp with a hybrid turbo. The TT V6 should easily make 500+ with aftermarket turbos, maybe even on the stock turbos.

That said, I got rid of my 5G ranger for the Gladiator and i have zero interest in a ranger raptor even if I was rolling in bags of money. If it comes with that piece of crap Ford/GM 10speed, even more reason to stay away.

Why wait on FCA to give you what you want. Take it to Rubitrux in Boone and they hook you up with 505hp 6.2l for $38,000. Before I go out and buy another truck and spend north of $80,000 probably on it, I would do this and this is exactly the route I plan to go.
Yes Sir. Same boat here. Carvana has my Glady EcoD at 2k below what I paid 15k miles ago. Once that gap starts to move beyond 10k, I'll strongly be considering a high-mile 3.6 candidate in the low 20s specifically for this purpose. I've retained everything but my stock wheels and tires so I can lift & shift all of my existing gear.

Order something from Ford and wait at least two years…I’m having a hard time waiting for my gladiator to arrive this month (ordered in November) ?

Yeah, I'm only $10,000 away from paying mine off and I only paid $37,000 for it. Wouldn't make since for me to start over. Mines out of warranty now as well so I'm figuring over the next 12 to 18 months I'll make a decision on it. Seems like a more logical route than dropping the money for a ranger or even buying a a Gladiator or Wrangler with a 392 in it.

If I sold mine now I'd be i the plus even with 45,000 miles on it. I done a KBB search to see what dealers would offer me 3 days ago and I had 2 at $38,000 and 1 at $39,000. I'd make money on mine but I'm planning on keeping it and paying it off when I pull this money out of my house to buy a condo. The rates are so good now I was able to pull $118,000 out and still stay at 15yrs and it only made my house payment go up $350 a month.

Ford screws pre-order folks. Some kooky ratio where if 10 buy orders exist, a few can be allocated and delivered as pre-orders while the rest go open market to a dealer. We are pretty remote here and I see Broncos near daily. There is a Big Bend trimmed Bronco at our local Ford lot right now w/ a 5k markup. They'd take MSRP for it surely. This particular dealership's lot is about the size of an i-hop parking lot too. Even more available an hour off the mountain. Jeep's algorithm is much more friendly to those that order.

Nothing in that article confirms power numbers beyond “shares the same drivetrain with the bronco raptor” which does not mean it will be rated for the same power figures. Most manufactures share engines and transmissions and simply tune them for the application.

Ford has a press release out stating power figures.
LOL. The title of the article is, "2023 Ford Ranger Raptor Has 392 HP and Is Coming to the U.S." The Ford press release is for the EU market. If the US Ford Raptor comes out with 288hp(~ish), I'll buy you a case of your favorite beer and a family pack of Twizzlers.

0% going to be a V8, those engines are on their way out.
I understand that the inline-6 is coming, but there's a V8 Wrangler sitting on the lot right now. I think it's much greater than 0% that we could see a 4xe Gladiator and perhaps a 392 Gladiator.

2023 Ranger Raptor World Premiere! -- Ranger6G.com

Ford officially announced the Ranger Raptor for 2023, with the 3.0 V6 twin turbo, so where's Jeep's response? We want a Mojave suspended XR Rubicon Gladiator, with the 3.0T Inline 6! Let's go!

Keep your really cool Gladiator and for ~$8K put a Hamburger SC on it and wa-la! 425hp and 385 lb. ft. of torque. You're welcome.
